Hi, there are no correct measurements of the X-Touch to be found - for a custom case and overlay series, I'd need technical drawings with correct sizes. PDF, AI, DXF, whatever. Who can help me out, please? Behringer support, anyone? Cheers, RT
We got a new BEHRINGER X32 digital mixer and can see a feature for iPad and iPhone apps for remote operation. Is there any cheaper alternative than Apple device ? Notice on the download page the X32 Mix for Android. For now we just need our sound man able to be anywhere around the building and control the mixer from.
This is for a church setup with the location of the sound control room right at the back with choir, music and pulpit right in front of the church building
Any recommendation witll be highly appreciated

Yes there most definitely is a cheaper alternative. Most any inexpensive android tablet using Mixing Station will do just fine. I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab A, but also provide the cheaper Amazon FireHD for musicians to mix their monitors. The latest version of the FireHD looks quite impressive actually, and they are dual band (2.4 and 5 Ghz) wifi. Mixing Station (free or Pro) is far superior to the official app and the Pro is well worth the cost IMO.
Hi all,
found a great design draft by Bjørn Lohmander in the synthesizer freaks FB group for a possible Behring produced Korg Polysix tribute in a desktop design formfactor. What do you guys think?
quality of the rendering is fantastic and i really like the design and formfactor....
Just to be clear this is NOT a confirmed Behringer product and at this point just a great design draft from a fellow synthusiast .
Cheers,
Mike
I have problems with my device, when turning it on it goes off after a few minutes and turn on the front LEDs, I only have 3 months with my interface. I already have a case number: 00982726
Hi @baudrian ,
Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear about your troubles. When you say "turn on front LEDs" do you mean that all of the LEDs on the front of the unit come on? If so, I think that's a reset condition. Are you using the external power adapter? You might want to try unplugging the usb from the computer and only powering it off the wall adapter and see if the same condition occurs. That would definitively tell you that there's nothing the computer is doing to cause it.
Hope this helps,
Ken
Yes, a few seconds after connecting my interface to the original adapter, all the front LEDs light up and it does not work. And when I connect my interface to my laptop with USB cable, it only turns on the power led light, but my laptop does not recognize it and it does not work. I do not know what to do, I'm frustrated. With Adapter
With USB Cable
The unit has a power problem. Have it replaced under warranty.
Ken
Thanks, I already have a case number: 00982726. But nobody has contacted me.
Just out of curiousity... Did you fill out a tech support request or a service request?
The reason I ask is because I've heard that it takes several days to get a response and the phone number (at least the US support number) only tells you to fill out the form on the website with no way to talk with anyone.
I'm my opinion, this is NOT PRO LEVEL SUPPORT.
Ken
My question is basically in the title. I'm trying to get a better understanding of the assignables section on the x32, and I cannot seem to find any documentation on what the remote target type means, only that it exists.
Thanks
Hi everybody, New to the forum here, but I've been using the X32 in a theatre setting for several years. 32 channels has been proving a challenging limit to fit all the wireless microphones and the band. We recently acquired an X32 Rack to use as a sidecar for the band sources, and I was wondering if there was any sort of implementation that would allow the assignable encoders on the X32 to remotely control the DCA faders on the X32 Rack. I know that using an iPad with X32-mix or a computer with X32-Edit is the simplest solution, but the computers and ipad are my personal devices and the consoles belong to the theatre. It would be ideal if there's a solution that I can leave them with in case I don't return.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
Hi Bob @Bobdafrog
Welcome to the forum. The easiest solution is to get the theatre to purchase an inexpensive android tablet, such as the Amazon FireHD 7, and get Mixing Station (free or pro). That way you can customize the layers (and layouts using the Pro version) to display only what you want it to display and control.
Another software option is to use Patrick's X32Commander. He designed it to monitor one console and control another. The downside of this is that it requires a PC to run it.
hello ! im looking for 32 bit drivers for xusb card and x32 edit app and nothing from those on behringer website work it seems they are all 64 bit version for sure they are exist somewhere( manual page 42) i need it for win xp home edition sp 3. Anyone knows where i can find them?
I'm aware that the USB1 on the XR16 only allows for recording single track to a flash drive, but can I run from USB 1 into a USB 2 input interface and connect the XR16 to DAW on my Apple system?
Device name on the box - X Air X18
Im upgrading from another audio interface. The purpose is to use this for a conference room at work.
Everything works just fine on the old one but the boss wanted to get the XR18 for the mobile app which he thought would make it harder to lock down from unwanted users.
That being said that everything works fine on the old one, I should only need to move the cords from it to the X18 and everything should play but it does not. If I go into the X-Air app for Android or PC I can see channels 1 and 2 moving. I have raised their volume from nothing to abou -10. I have also moved the LR slider to max as well. I can see that moving but nothing comes out of the speakers. If I unplug everything from the X18 and put it back into the older mixer/interface it resumes working again.
Trouble shooting steps
Between the headphones and the only sound Im getting out is the speaker pop when turning off and on and the connectors working in the other interface, this tells me either 1. I have a bad setting somewhere or 2. The unit is bad.
The settings were all default from either the windows app or the android app. The unit was bought brand new and I was the first person to take it out of the box as I broke the seal on the box. I did not drop the unit while it was in my presence.
The PC spekaers are going to Input 1 and 2, I attached a mic from a seperate box to Input 5. That would also have the bar bounce when I did a sound test.
Any suggestions or other options to try?
Hello Steve, welcome to the forum.
The fastest way for us to help is if you save your current Scene, zip it and attach it to your post. Also tell us which inputs and outputs you want to use.
Just bought an XR16 and am having the same problem. Seems to be a common issue from a brief search I have done. Just read something about L/R settings but am not near my gear to test. Any help greatly appreciated.

Yes it does seem to be a common issue with new users who aren't familiar with digital consoles. Those of us that have been using them for some time don't have this issue. The best way to help you is for you to save your settings to a scene file (using X-Air Edit for PC, Mac, linux or Raspberry Pi), then attach to your next post (click on Choose File below). That way we can have a look at your setup and better advise. Without it we would only be guessing at how it is setup.
Is there a good reference for basic setup of a simple PA that would help? I'm having a similar issue. I've attached my scene to this comment. I've got mics or instruments in the first 5 inputs and I've got a set of powered speakers connected to the Main outs. I'm almost certain I'm just missing a routing setting, but I've been banging my head on it and not getting anywhere.
Thanks so much for your help and advice.
P.S. I definitely fall into the category of new user. I've got no experience with digital mixers and only very basic experience with analog boards.
xr18-settings.scnHi Thomas @grizzly-atoms
The reason you are not getting any signals is because each of those channels have the USB inputs assigned to them. In X-Air Edit, go to the Input screen of each channel and change the Channel/Source to Mic/Line (instead of USB).
Hi all,
Im running a musical with two consoles, one for the band and one for the number of body mics in use. I have AES sending the mix back to the FOH main from the sidecar and that is all good. What i need to know is how to take scene/snippit cues from just one console? And it wouldnt be both consoles fireing everytime, unless we had to, because sometimes the band wont change its levels ect while the body mics will go through some automation changes, and visa versa. Thanks in advance.
Luke
(this forums layout is awful, i know its been mentioined..jsut adding in my two cents, i was a frequent reader and sometimes contributer for a while till this mess happened, but i need this info so i came back for it. I know the users are still pretty great though!)
Hi Luke @LukeKrauss,
Welcome back. Yes we totally understand your comment about the forum. It is what it is. Some of us stick around simply to help others that come here for help.
Regarding your questions about cue/scene/snippet firing. These are local only, meaning that loading a scene on one console will not change any settings on another console. If you ever do need to synchronize these cues/scenes/snippets among multiple consoles, there are tools available to do that. Just let us know.
Thanks Paul,
Ill take the list of tools jsut so i have em in my pocket.
the"ideal" situation given that it cant be board to board is
Im running Qlab for sound playback that i often fire just using a midi over firewire it would be steller if the qlab computer could fire the sidecare, over ethernet(all networked, so possibly just an OSC command, is there one for "go" of would i have to do a load cue/scene/snippit each time?
thanks again Paul, good to seee you and some others still lending a hand eveywhere you can.
Luke
