    Hi all,
     
    At this moment I’m very happy with the console.
    But now I had some more time on it, there are some mini idea’s I’m seeing.
     
    Now, the Navigation Layouts and Global Assignables Presets are linked to the user account that’s being used.
    But I’m finding out that with different show’s I do on the console I’m using different ones every time.
    It would be very handy if it could be attached at the show file rather then the User Account.

    A couple of years ago, someone had mentioned that the Midas M32C has crossover functions built-in. In specific, they had stated a Linkwitz-Riley Crossover was there. I do not see this or any other crossover available (M32C accessed via M32 Edit). I understand the Matrix busses combined with equalizers can provide this functions but thought it would be better if a built in crossover function was used.

      KevinMaxwell Go to the EQ page on EQ page on the L/R or Mono or any of the Matrix outputs. Then on the Low or the High bands of the EQ on the Mode (pull down menu) you will see the options to change those to the crossover filters.

    The default processing order (PO) on a given channel is

    1)gain,

    2) dynamics,

    3) insert,

    4) EQ and then

    5) fader.

     

    The default Tap Off Point (TOP) is ordered

    1) post filter,

    2) post EQ,

    3) post insert,

    4) post dynamics

    5) end of chain

     

    It's great you can choose the order you want for the processing order, but I can't see where to change the order of the Tap Off Point to match the processing order. 

     

    If out of sync, you get interesting results (if you choose TOP post EQ with the default PO, the insert and dynamics will impact the signal because they come before EQ in the default PO).  If you change the processing order to match the Tap Off Points it works as expected, but the TOP default order is not a typical way to process a channel.

     

    Is there a way to change the TOP order to match PO for a given strip?

    Trying to reach someone for help and I have created 2 tickets with no response on here. Have a Midas Verona 2004 board 

    Submitted a request on parts over a week ago and no one responded, we have 3 issues going on with the board
    Channels 9-24 tap on panels and aux 1 looses connection, channels 25-40 when tap on panels sauced 7 looses connection, channel 40 goes up and down on its own

    any suggestions

    I am working on upgrading our audio system to Dante for several reasons. But what I would like to do is keep using the HUB4/DP48s for in ears on stage. Can i do this using the DN9650 to send the channels from dante to the HUB4 AES50 port?

      GaryHiggins Are you already using a DN9630? If you are using a Wing or X32 with Dante cards added (if that's what you are saying) AES50 is still available to connect your Hub4/DP48's and Dante is a separate bus and separate routing but is available at the same time. If not and you are already using a DN9650 I don't see why that would not work. It in fact should work. really well syncing everything.

    Hi there,

    Sorry if this has already been asked, but I wasn't able to find it in the forum, and couldn't find my previous post.

    I'm using the M32 Edit software with the M32 mixer and it's great for setting up, fault finding, assiting remotely, etc.. One feature I'm not able to find in it is access to the presets in the mixer's library. I can load scenes and presets from my laptop, and scenes that I have saved on my laptop, but not presets that are saved on the mixer. Is there a way to do this? If not, is there a way to request this feature?

      Paul_Vannatto Hi Aaron, yes you are correct that the M32-Edit can only access the presets on the laptop, not the list on the console. The dual preset list, like that of the scenes and snippets has been requested before. So far the answer has been no. But I will see if they will reconsider. In the meantime, Patrick-Gilles Maillot (a 3rd party developer) has developed a couple of software tools to get and set console presets. These can be found here:

    Once upon a time, Midas was a Professional Sound Company with an outstanding technical service to their customers.

    You had a problem, you contacted Midas directly over the phone, speak with a profesional technical representative, and sort out problems efficiently and quickly.

    Today, Midas technical excellence has become one of the worst services at the bottom of most sound consumer companies out there.

    It's basically non existent!

    I have been waiting for a simple reponse from them for over a week.

    I have raised two different tickets on their non existent support:

    CAS-497987-G3J3D9 CRM:0020400001070

    CAS-498376-S5W1H2 CRM:0120000246019

    But I haven't received a response from them since over week.

    How dissapoointing is this!

    I just need to purchase a power supoply for my desk

    and there is no other way to do this than through Music-tribe.

    So what's the actual procedure here?

    Buy another desk?

    keep raising tickets?

    chasing Music-tribe by sending continuous emails to them?

     

    I really thought that buying a Midas desk was enough warranty for me to keep things WORKING

     

    How wrong I was!

      Dale_M Hi Dale here, sorry you are having issues, we are still here and we do still care! it looks like your initial ticket should have been sent to us as a Technical ticket rather than a spares ticket, this has likely caused issues our end. I can see you have created another ticket CAS-498376-S5W1H2 so I will ask the Spares team to escalate this one for you. For future reference if you are having actual problems with any Midas console please use the Technical Ticket option so we can assist you before passing you over to Spares. I hope this helps.

      solidtraveller I did raised a ticket with your non-exixten Technical Service first (First ticket number), and you referred me and open another ticket to your non-existent Spares department. I have not received an answer from you yet. So I am not able to make my purchase of a new power supply for my desk yet. Mind you, trying to blame the customer here is not going to make you look good I'm afraid,

    We use iPad to connect to a M32 controler through a router. It works well for the first hour, then the connection goes on and off intermittently. if we power off then on the mixer, it works well again for another hour.

    I have tried to connect to the router with an Ethernet cable and same problem. Power of and on the router doesn't solve the problem.

    I think may be the network card is overheated? can anybody help?

      KevinMaxwell What router are you using? does it have Energy Star power saving in it? Is that turned off?

      AaronLane I had exactly the same issue when accessing via VPN. When you say you're using a router, are you routing traffic, or are you on a flat layer 2 network? We found that if it was routing between subnets or over the VPN, these issues would occur.

    I think my DL 351 is toast,

    When I connect it to any midas borad it acts like it is connected I see all 3 green lites and than it doesn't show any audio coming into the stage box or output anything. Anyone can help me? Also does midas havea phone number I can call to see what they can do?
