    Hi,

    My only DP48 is directly connected to AES50B of my M32. No daisy chain, no HUB4.

    In the M32 inputs routing, i selected AES50B 1-8 for the channels 1-8.

    On M32 channels 1-4 and 7-8 there is no signal, on channels 5-6 I get the signal from the DP48 microphones.

    When I switch on the DP48, after 2 seconds, there is a loud pop on channels 5-8, nothing on channel 1-4.

    DP48 firmware is 2.2.

    Question : Is the upstreaming only allowed in conjonction with HUB4, meaning that upstreaming without it is not supported and leads to the weird results i explained ?

    Thank you for your support.

    BR

      Nigel67 Hi JaquesMathez. The Upstream should work without the need of the Hub4. Please refer to this block diagram. The 8 channels being sent back to the AES50 ports is shown right at the top. https://mediadl.musictribe.com/download/software/midas/DP48/DP48_Block_Diagram.pdf You have the Aux Inputs, Ambience Mics, Mix A and Mix B. It would appear that the 8 channels are working as you mention that you see the audio from the ambience Mics. Is the M32 running G4.06?

      I have a m32 r I’m trying to connect to a stage box sd8 connections to speakers for left and right out puts a stage montior and two other stage keyboard bass and two over head drum mics not able to get signal from keyboard nor I’m I able to get sound out of speakers

      Paul_Vannatto Assuming you are using the AES50 A port (on the back of the M32R) to connect to the SD8, go to the Routing, Inputs screen and assign AES50 A1-8 to the first block of 8. Then to route the outputs, first go to the Routing, Out 1-16 screen and assign the monitor bus (eg. bus 1) and the Main L and R to 3 of the outputs (eg. Output 1 -> mixbus 1 post-fader, Output 2 -> Main L post-fader, Output 3 -> Main R post-fader), and finally on Routing, AES50 screen assign the Out 1-8 to the first block. Make sure the Out switch on the side of the SD8 is set to Out 1-8.

      Paul_Vannatto Make sure you backup your show (cues, scenes, snippets), presets (chan, effects, routing) and write down all of the settings in the first 4 screens of the Setup.

      TreyH Firmware upgrade went smooth as buttah'! It did set the board back to factory so I'm glad I backed up Show, Presets and Setup pgs 1-4.

    It's been about 3 weeks since I emailed music tribe support for parts.....with no response. Figured I'd post here in hopes they will at least see it. I'm looking to order a preamp board...specifically 1-8 for a midas m32 full size.

    Hi first time posting here

    I've not long purchased a used Midas venice F24 mixer. I'm aware there is a mod that can be done in order for the direct outs to be post fader aswell as eq. I like to use the mixer as an instrument and want to record all the fader movements through the direct outputs. Does anyone have any detailed instructions or ideally pictures on how this is done from what I can tell it's a small solder job on each channel but not exactly sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    many thanks, Pat

    I'm getting mixed information here, so it would be great if you could clear this up.

    Here is the configuration:

    M32 for FOH (On-Site)  ----   PROVIDED BY VENUE

    M32C and DL32 for Monitors (I carry in rack with IEMs)

    What is the proper routing configuration for both the FOH and Monitor settings?

    The purpose is to walk in to any venue, and patch in the M32C/DL32 into existing system for IEM and artist control of IEM mixes.

    I want to be able to simply plug in the AES to my rack, and provide monitors for my band.   I don't care about rerouting the outputs for mains or moving inputs to the DL-32 if possible.  If I had a 32 handy, i could figure it out, but I'm trying to prep this for someone else.

    The information I have found is very confusing and contradicts itself many times.

    Thanks in Advance.

      Paul_Vannatto The M32C has 2 AES50 ports. If you have connected the DL32 (port A) to the M32C Port A, connect the M32 (FOH) to the B port and transfer all A inputs to the B outputs (using the Routing, AES50 screen). For example, on the Routing, AES50 screen assign the following:
      * AES50 B1-8 Outputs -> AES50 A1-8
      * AES50 B9-16 Outputs -> AES50 A9-16
      * AES50 B17-24 Outputs -> AES50 A17-24
      * AES50 B25-32 Outputs -> AES50 A25-32

      • M32C as monitor console AND DL32 for monitor outputs.
        ChopperKovach thanks for your response. Here is my point of confusion. Can I configure this so I don't have to re-route inputs and outputs? Also, more confusion occurs as I am trying to understand the setting you are referring to, but not referencing whether it is my IEM M32C or the FOH M32.

      GaryHiggins You can easily share the inputs with that setup. The DL32 is only one of two stage boxes set up to share its preamps between 2 mixers. Keep your M32C connected to the DL32 A port, you will then retain preamp and monitor mix control and any FOH M32 mixing won’t change your set up or alter your gain settings. Connect the B port from the DL32 to FOH M32. They will then have access to all 32 DL inputs too but only have a digital trim for each input ch. They can boost or cut the trim but that won’t change your actual gain settings. One would have to presume they can connect to their own speaker system from the FOH M32 position. Your system should be independent. What you want may be a lot more trouble if no M32/X32 is at FOH.

      • M32C as monitor console AND DL32 for monitor outputs.
        ChopperKovach Thanks for your response. The intent is that regardless of what the FOH console is, I can take a stage split (monitor) and plug it into the DL32 if necessary. Obviously other than a Dante feed. My confusion comes with understanding how I can make the IEM rack (with M32c/DL32) not require reconfiguring from show to show, but if there is a M32 at FOH, just plug it into my rack and not have to worry about reconfiguring the FOH console. I am not using the last 6 outputs of the DL32, so it can either pass signal from FOH, or they can have a separate feed.

        GaryHiggins You would be ok with any x/m32 at foh with the dl32 B port used as I mentioned previously, the DL essentially becomes a splitter by design. Pretty sure you would have to own an analog splitter for use with other manufactures mixers to keep hem out of your kitchen and even then they will surely want some preamp control which might alter your in ear set up when done, Maybe it’s only minimal with luck.

    good day people! need some help on your experties :) We are a church and we are moving to a separate mix for our monitors, in ears. We have midas M32, X32 rack and DL32 digital snake. How can I route my X32 outputs (slave mixer for monitor mix) to DL32? X32 rack outputs cannot accomdate our needs for in ear monitor. Is it possible?

      Paul_Vannatto Yes it is possible. Assuming the X32 Rack and DL32 are near the stage and the M32 is at FOH position, interconnect the units as follows: ( [A] and [B] are the AES50 ports )
      M32 [A] <-> [B] X32 Rack [A] <-> [A] DL32
      To transfer the DL32 inputs through the X32 Rack to the M32, on the X32 Rack, Routing, AES50 screen, assign the following:
      AES50 A1-8 -> AES50 B1-8
      AES50 A9-16 -> AES50 B9-16
      AES50 A17-24 -> AES50 B17-24
      AES50 A25-32 -> AES50 B25-32

      Then assuming you want to send the M32 (FOH) outputs to the DL32 1-8 and the X32 Rack IEM outputs ( Out 9-16) to the DL32 9-16 assign the following on the X32 Rack Routing, AES50 screen, assign the following:
      AES50 B1-8 -> AES50 A1-8 (from M32)
      AES50 B9-16 -> Out 9-16
      This is assuming that you want to send the first 8 outputs of the X32 Rack (Out 1-8) to the Rack's XLR outputs (assigned on Routing, XLR Out).

    Hello,

    I have a:

    • Midas M32

    • 2 Midas DL16s connected by way of AES50A

    • Dante card going from Midas M32 to dante card on a Bose amp

    What is the correct setup? Do I select internal for clocking on Midas M32 and slave on the dante Bose amp or Bose amp is the master and the Midas M32 is Exp. Card? Thanks!

      Paul_Vannatto Hi Greg, with the Dante card, it is always recommended to use the master clock of the Dante (syncronize = card).
      • Apr 18
    • GregWarren
      GregWarren Ok...I set it up as M32 on exp. card and X-dante as leader and bose as follower but I'm getting a subscription status as a caution triangle on the Midas X-dante card in dante controller. The bose is a green check. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

      Paul_Vannatto Unfortunately, I don't use Dante. So I can't help much. But Gary Higgins is now a certified Dante tech. He can be reached at the Behringer.world forum.

    I bought by Thomann an Midas M32C and its send by them to Repair for 4 weeks. Your Repair tell them its 100% good, but they asked please check the soundcard with computer connection for a few weeks, after that i still got my M32C back? I need that M32C for my workshops and this cost me a lot of money i can't give the workshops! I called an emailed Thomann a lot of times but still my M32C isn't back.... I don't understand such a good and beautifull products and so bad services. I don't buy in the future by Thomann anymore and if i dont have my M32C back for the weekend i contact my lawyer to get a claim or a new M32C a.s.a.p. Sorry but i am very angry!
