I submitted a ticked on the 4th of March about missing feet on the side of my Midas L6. It has been 4 days now and no response. I did receive the email stating a case had been created but that is it. I have checked spam folders as well and nothing. While my issue might not be a major issue it would be nice to get some sort of acknowledgement that they were looking into a resolution.

This is my first time reaching out to this company for support. I have purchased and used Behringer products for years and never had a need to contact support. I have been a big fan as the products just worked!

I have to say that this experience has made me nervous about continuing my journey with Behringer, Midas or any MusicTribe brands. It is a little uneasy knowing that support correspondence is so sparse. Granted I am only one tiny drop in the bucket of their customer base but in Googling this issue this seems to be a fairly common occurrence.

Can someone please tell how long it usually takes to get some sort of response from support with actual help?

    Thanks.

Nigel67 Hi ahowald. I am sorry for the lack of response to your ticket. Can you give me your case number (begins with CAS) and I will look into it further for you.

ahowald Nigel, I'm posting this here as well as there seems to be two different threads between us... I did receive a response from someone giving me part numbers and prices. I replied asking that since the unit was purchased only a month or so ago should the replacement parts be covered under warranty. It has been 10 days since then and I have still not receive a reply. This has to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Do you think you could find some to respond to me in some sort of a timely manner? I realize the we are on opposite sides of the globe but this has become ridiculous! Thank you for your time.

Hi, I have a Hub4 that I am trying to integrate into my M32 & DL32 system. As far as my understanding I should be able to set it up to pass-through audio from my DL32 to the Hub4 then to the M32. While still having control of the DL32 from the M32. So as far as connections go I have it (M32 AES50 A) to (Hub4 Sync Master) and from (Hub4 Thru) to (DL32 AES50 A). With this setup I cannot see the DL32, cannot control the inputs and no audio from the inputs even though everything has green LED indicators. I can see the Hub4 on my M32 but nothing past it. Everything has been updated to the latest firmwares that are available on Midas' website under software.

I use a DL32 with a M32C. I am trying to update the firmware on the DL32. I follow the instructions and I cannot seem to do it. If I look at the device manager it says dL32 1.06. When I go through the process as instructed It says DL32 1.06 ready to use. I am trying to update to 1.8. Unfortunatly the only way to do this is with a windows computer and the process seems goofy and there is no way to tell if anything is installing, installed or anything. I tried getting the 1.7 to install that first, incase it had to do that? but that also does the same thing. I am using windows 10. There also seems to be no way to find out on the dl32. (that I know of) if I plug the DL32 into my mac and look at what is on the port it also says DL32 1.06. Does anyone have a better way of doing this of a mac version? Thanks-John

Paul_Vannatto Do you have the USB cable plugged into a USB 3.0 (blue) port on the computer by chance? If so, that will probably be the problem. It needs to be plugged into a USB 2.0 (black) port

dragosjustin I had the same problem. I used my wife's surface pro 7 to try and update it but kept saying DL32 not in bootloader mode or something like that. I ended up installing WIN10 on my Mac pro using bootcamp and updated it that way. Pretty annoying but got it updated. That was my experience.

    Weird issue-

4.2 Mac crashes on startup on a standard user account, where previous versions start just fine. 4.2 runs fine in the admin account. Created a fresh standard user account, and no problem there, either. Something must be corrupt, or conflicting in the original standard user account. Trashing prefs was the first thing I tried, without effect.

anyone have a clue what's going on here?

Hello all! I am new here and am looking for info on the M32 network side of things. I have connected and used our iPad to connect to both our M32 and X32 in the past but have not used it recently due to the pandemic. I pulled everything back out and the X32 worked perfectly, however the M32 was not connecting to my iPad (or vice versa) and so tried connecting via DHCP to see what IP it was pulling. I came to find out that it is pulling a 169.254 IP meaning it is NOT connecting to the router. I then checked the cable - cable works, then tried plugging directly into our unmanaged network switch running to our netowrk closet with managed switch and fierwall - still not getting an IP. Is it possible that my network card is bad?? I am in IT and have had our whole department look it over and so am looking to you guys! Any help would be great! Thank you.

Paul_Vannatto Are you certain that the ethernet cable is good? Also, are you plugged into the M32 ethernet port and not the Ultranet port (been there done that)?

GaryHiggins If you assign the m32 a static ip, (and saved it!.....if you don't your settings go away as soon as you go out of network setup) the iPad needs one as well, at least mine never worked very well not doing that. I had a pretty generic router that used 192.168.1.0 and my M32 was something like 192.168.1.32. The iPad set for something like 33. Anyway the iPad was ALWAYS good for skipping the 3rd group of the subnet. Hard to notice it sometimes as it looks correct upon quick look. It would say 255.255.0.0 instead of 255.255.255.0. It would refuse to connect over and over, once I changed to the correct number it connected perfectly right away. I am NOT in IT so you probably checked all that stuff and much more, but thought I would throw it out there anyway.

on the M32 what needs to be done to keep the L&R and MC master faders from resetting when the power is cycled off and on?

Paul_Vannatto On the console, Setup, config, General Prefs, Safe Main lvls. In M32-Edit, Setup, Mixer, General Prefs, Safe Main Levels.

    Hey all,

I just updated M32 edit to 4.2 and it is ridiculously slow to respond. I have Mojave 10.14.6 OS. How can I revert back to M32 Edit 4.1? My M32
R console is at v4.04.1. Or is there another solution to my dilema?

    Thanks!!

WallyFargo Hi Gary, I should have included the fact that I don’t know where I can get the previous version. I couldn’t find it on the download page. Can you direct me to where I can get it?

DaveMorrison You can install multiple copies on the same computer. I've had two versions of X32-Edit and one version of M32-Edit on the same computer (I never tried to run them simultaneously). You really don't have to revert. I like to rename the app with the version number (e.g. X32-Edit 4.1) to make it clear what I'm launching. Do you still have 4.1?

DaveMorrison This new website has lots of problems, one of which is the "Show Legacy Versions" button doesn't work for the M32. It might work next week—it might never work. Other users might have a copy. I have the Behringer version if you need it (it's the same).

WallyFargo Thank you Gary and Dave!!! I've been away from mixing on my Mac for a while, guess I just needed another set of eyes. The X32 edit seems to be working just fine with V4.2. Gary - If I did want to get M32 edit V4.1, how could I get that from you? This will teach me not to be so quick to replace/trash apps, I guess. Thanks again!!!

WallyFargo So much for that, now X32 is acting up. It's 3-4 seconds behind. I'd really like to get my hands on a V4.0 or 4.1. My previous X32 edit is 3.2 and that won't work with the console. Thanks!

    Hi,

I noticed i can only assign an aes channel once to a group. When assingning the same channel to a second group it dissapears from the first group.
    This is logical but.

When i want to use the DP48 for  two musicians it could actually be helpfull to assign  the channels to 2  different groups.
Because then user 1 can use group 1 for (example) drums and adjust the individual channels to his own flavour. User 2 can use group 2 for drums and adjust the individual channels for his own flavour.

Is there a possibility to change this in future firmware?

Paul_Vannatto Hi Willem, unfortunately it is not possible to assign a channel to more than one group, due to the assignment design.

Noticed this recently that when I switch off a DP48 with other units daisy chained to it, the downstream unit will produce a very loud pop sound in the headphones output even though the Volume knob has been fully lowered.

I noticed it because I could hear the pop from the headphones connected to another unit that was almost 2 meters away when I switched off 1 unit for firmware upgrade and testing.

Once again the volume level has been fully lowered on that downstream unit yet the pop sound came through so loudly and this happened consistently.

What will it do to a musician with in-ears when another musician upstream switches the unit off, by accident or for whatever other reason?!

    Please fix this soon.

Paul_Vannatto The loud popping sound is due to the breakage of the AES50 that passes through the DP48 in a daisy chain configuration when the upstream DP48 is turned off. This has been an issue since the introduction of the X32 (back in 2012) or even earlier. The fix is to get a Hub4 and connect the DP48 from it instead of daisy chaining. The other solution is to make sure nothing is turned off until everyone is finished and no longer using the DP48's. Also make sure you are using shielded cat5e/cat6/cat7 cable with ethercon ends.

      • Very Loud Pop(even with fully lowered Volume) when Upstream DP48 in daisy chain is switched off
joshtew Wow, I feel there should be much better signal breakage handling from such professional equipment and at the very least the unit should conform to the volume knob setting...

Paul_Vannatto I'll report this to the developers (of the DP48) to see if they can do anything about it.

I have seen several posts about issueees when updating the M32 firmware. I am not running a digital stage box as of now.  Can I update from 3.02 directly to 4.04.1 or should I be updating sequentially? If I save my setup can I load it from a usb to work after the update or will I have to resetup how my board is layed out manually as the routing menus have seemed to change?

Paul_Vannatto Hi Craig, You can update from 3.02 directly to 4.04. But backup your scenes, snippets (and cues by exporting the show to a USB stick) as well as any presets in the Library. Added to that, have a look at the first 4 screens of the Setup and make note of those settings. Updating from 3.x to 4.x will set the M32 to factory default settings. Once you have completed the update to 4.04, you will be able to do a full backup (including the Setup screens).
