Dale_M Swap the netwrork cable, try another router, try another iPad and see if the issues stays at the console.

is the Midas M32 discontinued as well as Behringer X32?

I urgently need to buy 2-3 audio consoles for a college. I would be hestitant to purchase X32 and/or M32 for fear of discontinued resource, etc

Could anyone from Midas advise on this please?

Dale_M The M32 is a legacy product but the succesor M32-LIVE is still current, both however are still supported as they bothe run the latest 4.06 firmware as does the Behringer X32 which is still current. I hope this helps.

DANMOLINA M32C shows "current" status. However, X32 core is legacy.
If you search up on Behringer or Midas website it lists past and present products and shows "LEGACY PRODUCT" when discontinued.

I'm trying to get my Pro1 working with a DL231 but when I patch the AES50 channels to the inputs on the desk the gain pot for all of these channels dissapears from the GUI on the console. Any help would be great thanks!

Dale_M Hi there, are you sure they've patch the DL231 to the inputs and not to something else like the tape returns or directi in? If you have checked this and it is still not happening, try hitting the safe scene, close the show then build a new (test) show and see if the patching now works. If not, please send your showfile on a Techncial ticket to us via the above support tab.

Hi Dale. I figured it out. I needed to hit the 'config' tab in the patching window and select the DL231 as the AES50 device. The AES50 panel need to display the name of the stage box being used (Not generic 'AES50'). There are some Midas videos online with instructions on how to set up the DL231 but for some reason none of them have this important detail. Happy to have figured it out though and thanks for your reply.

Is there away to get more than 32 input channels? Is there an expander that can be utilized?

    • kickdrument
aeleasound Yes, for instance you can link a second mixer, eg an M32C via AES50, to add more input channels to the overall

Would I used the main LR from the m32C and send it as a stereo input to the main board?

Paul_Vannatto What was suggested will not work. If you are looking for more inputs, get a stagebox such as the DL16. If you are looking for more channel strips, get a Wing.

DRPromotions How many? I use Aux 1 thru 6 as an inout also. Total of 38 channels.

A pro9 we have is acting strange. Mc1 and mc2 seem happy, but only mc1 eq selections work, and the pop up happens on both screens. The center navigation doesn't work (patching/metering etc.) The two trackball mice work independently as they should.

Any ideas on why this is happening?

I've read that you can use a digital interface to control selected audio outputs from the M32, but I'm having a heck of a time trying to start with the basics of "how to"

We are trying to have more control of the audio going to our livestream, but can only control the entire mix out of the M32. How would I go about trying to control individual channels from the board to the stream? And Is this only achieved by connecting to a DAW or specific software only?

Nigel67 Hi Savedin05. If you have the inputs sending audio for the main PA outputs, then there is no way of being able to adjust those inputs as well for the live stream because any change you make will also affect the audio to the main PA. I think that most users just take a feed from the main mix outputs to the matrix and that gives you some adjustments but that will be for the overall mix, not the individual channels. If you are using the USB output to send audio post Mic gain from the individual channels to a computer to mix down for a live feed, then that is the only way that you will be able to eq, etc each individual channel without it affecting the main mix outputs. There are a number of videos now on You Tube that users have put up showing how they use their X32 or M32 for live feeds as well as the main mix outputs for the PA. Here are a couple of examples https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rlIKZflsLg and a different method (about 11 mins in) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amxVZQ2NaF4

Savedin05 Thanks very much for that. This kind of info is exactly what I have been researching and hoping for. Going to go through the different methods and see what will fit our situation the best

I am working through a workflow and I am tying to help my Sound technicians remember they need to start the recording at a particular time.   We have signs and other items to help them remember but they get involved in the service and forget to start the recording.  I would like to be able to monitor, start and stop the recording of our sermon for posting later from the app and can't seem to find the controls.

In setup there appears to be a recorder option but I don't see where it changes anything.   Anyone have some direction on where this is in the UI so I can use it?

Clarizion Well apparently my system needed a restart for it to show up. This morning all was present after an update completed and the application was restarted again. So if anyone has something not show up when they select an option to be pinned try a reboot and restart the application if an application restart doesn't fix it immediately.

Paul_Vannatto The USB recorder is only available in M32-Edit when it is connected (via ethernet or wifi) to the console. But that won't help the techs to remember to start the recording at a specific time.

    Hi,

My only DP48 is directly connected to AES50B of my M32. No daisy chain, no HUB4.

In the M32 inputs routing, i selected AES50B 1-8 for the channels 1-8.

On M32 channels 1-4 and 7-8 there is no signal, on channels 5-6 I get the signal from the DP48 microphones.

When I switch on the DP48, after 2 seconds, there is a loud pop on channels 5-8, nothing on channel 1-4.

    DP48 firmware is 2.2.

Question : Is the upstreaming only allowed in conjonction with HUB4, meaning that upstreaming without it is not supported and leads to the weird results i explained ?

    Thank you for your support.

    BR

Nigel67 Hi JaquesMathez. The Upstream should work without the need of the Hub4. Please refer to this block diagram. The 8 channels being sent back to the AES50 ports is shown right at the top. https://mediadl.musictribe.com/download/software/midas/DP48/DP48_Block_Diagram.pdf You have the Aux Inputs, Ambience Mics, Mix A and Mix B. It would appear that the 8 channels are working as you mention that you see the audio from the ambience Mics. Is the M32 running G4.06?

I have a m32 r I’m trying to connect to a stage box sd8 connections to speakers for left and right out puts a stage montior and two other stage keyboard bass and two over head drum mics not able to get signal from keyboard nor I’m I able to get sound out of speakers

Paul_Vannatto Assuming you are using the AES50 A port (on the back of the M32R) to connect to the SD8, go to the Routing, Inputs screen and assign AES50 A1-8 to the first block of 8. Then to route the outputs, first go to the Routing, Out 1-16 screen and assign the monitor bus (eg. bus 1) and the Main L and R to 3 of the outputs (eg. Output 1 -> mixbus 1 post-fader, Output 2 -> Main L post-fader, Output 3 -> Main R post-fader), and finally on Routing, AES50 screen assign the Out 1-8 to the first block. Make sure the Out switch on the side of the SD8 is set to Out 1-8.

Paul_Vannatto Make sure you backup your show (cues, scenes, snippets), presets (chan, effects, routing) and write down all of the settings in the first 4 screens of the Setup.
