Hey there. Can't seem to find where to control USB recording in M32 Edit App. Connected to M32R so cannot use onboard screen to control this as there is no screen. :-)
Thanks
Dave
What is the best way to set up a mix minus on this board. Will be using mixer for live news remotes.
Hello everyone
I am currently working on a WING based systems with DP48s and a HUB4. I'm trying to do the following:
WING-A <-> DP48-1 IN/DP48-1 through <-> HUB4 Master/HUB4 through <-> DL32-1 A/DL32-1 B <-> DL32-2 A
I have the follwoing questions regarding this setup:
1. As I understand it this should pass inputs 1 - 16 from DL32-2 to WING-A on AES50-A 33-48. However this is not the case. What does work is the HUB4 sending the talkback from the DP48s to WING-A on channel 48 (but only when taking DP48-1 out of the chain, as the 8 channels that unit inserts at the start of the AES50 stream replace 40-48 and therefore also the talkback). This is the only signal I am able to receive on the WING on AES50-A 33-48.
No routing options on the HUB4 are engaged. The outputs of AES50-A are routed to all DL32s as expected (1-16 duplicated on the XLR outputs of both stageboxes.)
When bypassing the HUB4 and daysichaining only the stageboxes on AES50-A everything works as expected; inputs 1-16 from DL32-2 are combined with inputs 1-32 from DL32-1 on the AES50 stream.
Am I doing something wrong or is this currently not supported?
2. Of course I also have DP48s connected to the hub:
WING-A <-> DP48-1 IN/DP48-1 through <-> HUB4 MASTER/HUB4 Port 1 <-> DP48-2 IN/DP48-2 through <-> DP48-3 IN
In this configuration DP48-1 can only remote control DP48-2 but not DP48-3. When daisychaining DP48s without the HUB4 in between, remote control works for all devices.
Am I doing something wrong or is this currently not supported?
3. I don't really need it in this scenario, but just out of curiosity: When daisychaining two DL32s is it possible to get OUT 1-16 on DL32-1 and OUT 17-32 on DL32-2 on their respective XLR outputs?
Obvioulsy this would all be fixed by running a second CAT cable on AES50-B, but I would very much like to avoid this if possible...
Thanks for your help!
Advanced Routing Question
My goal is to edit scene called internet so Mains LR are routed to my PC to be an input audio source for Streaming. Both of these scenes were created by support from this forum. Scene Main M32c 1 is sending audio to M32C2 scene internet and is working the way it is intended for streaming. Currently I am using aTEM audio from M32C 2 into OBS again it is working but the gain staging is a pain. The goal is to use Internet M32C 2 as an audio interface that replaces the ATEM audio source. I am close but I can't figure out how to get main LR which has been routed three ways from testing 1/2, 7/8 and 15/16. The challenge also is how I have card routing involved in this setup already. I don't want to mess that up at all. This grop has helped me out in the past, if this is possible I look forward to growing my knowledge more
Any recommendations for not a brand new iPad but something refurbished? Year models that are compatible with the M32 software on iPads? Any help is appreciated. Just don't want to drop another $1-2k on a new iPad right now.
Hi, apologies if this covered elsewhere.
We use an a Midas M32C in our studio as an interface in an aggregate device set up with Universal Apollo Twin. We were using an older Mac and it worked beautifully. We recently got a 2020 M1 Mac Mini (OS Monterey 12.2) and for some reason the M32C doesn't show up at all as a device. We have tried different cords. We also have an X32R which does work with M1 Mac Mini as USB interface. We are currently using that, but our ideal set up is with the Midas. We tried swapping the USB Cards (put the X32 card in the M32) but the Midas still wouldn't show up as a device. We also tried the DN32 Card (M32 card) in the X32 and that works fine with the Mac Mini. The Firmware is all up to date on the Midas. I guess the question I have is about whether it's a known issue that the M32C will not work with the new apple silicon chips and if there is any tech support I can get to work through the issue?
cheers,
zak
We just upgraded from the P16s and love the sound quality. The one thing that we are really looking for in a firmware update would be independent Mix A & B control of the relative levels and panning within each group. We run like instruments on each group, so it would be ideal for each band member to control their group submixes independently.
I just recently tried to record from my M32R for the first time, but my laptop only recognized the first 8 channels, not all 32 (I have 32 in/32 out selected on the console settings). I have the most recent driver for it downloaded and installed, but I am running Windows 11, which I think is the problem. I looked in the update history doc that came with the download, and it said nothing about support for Windows 11.
I just want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything. And, if Windows 11 is the issue, does anyone know when they might release an update that supports it?
Thanks yall
Someone told me there is a revised spec for the Pro2 that Cat5 shielded is recommended is this true? can a shielded cat5 be used with the pro series?
I am a midas Pro series user, but midas has a serious problem. There is no technical assistance here (Portugal/Spain)! this is a serious problem!
