    Hi all,

Thank you so much for the efficient help I've found here.

Here is another question I have for you.

In order to get the XAir 12 connected to a computer as an USB entry of a DAW (Garageband on MacBook Pro), I have added this Behringer box UMC202HD, connected as shown in the attached picture.

When I play 1 chord on my guitar, XAIR Edit shows a signal level of -30 db on the main LR output.

The signal I get as a result in Garageband is all the way right on the red clipping zone.

I have a ton of ways to get this signal to the right level, and this is my problem; from thebeginning to the end :

    - reduce the volume on the guitar (at the max right now to reduce the noise and parasites)

    - reduce the gain in XAIR Edit (at +20 right now because when all the faders are at 0, this is the best balance between all the devices connected to the XR12 - mic, others guitars)

    - reduce the fader of the channel in XAIR Edit (at 0 right now)

    - reduce the fader of the main output in XAIR Edit (at 0 right now)

    - reduce the volume of the output channels on the UMC202

    - reduce the volume of the main output on the UMC202

    - switch from line to instrument on the UMC202 (no effect anayway)

    - push the pad switwh on the UMC202

    - reduce the entry level of the channel in Garageband (at -5db right now)

    - reduce the volume of the master track in Garageband (at -5db right now)

    - a combination of the aboves

Sorry for this long post. Thank you for reading.

I have been using these powered heads for a long time and they usually last about 3 to 4 years and then you have to throw them away and buy a new one.  My experience is that I lose one side of the amp.  I think the $450 investment over 4 or 5 years is reasonable, but am wondering why I had to pay $590 last night after another one bit the dust during my gig yesterday?  What was the reason those went up $130?

    Thanks for any insight.

Paul Vannatto Are you in the USA? If so, you know who to blame. He is putting tariffs on everything - just did it to our Canadian aluminum, even though our countries have a signed trade agreement.

Still waiting to hear from a request for the availability of a 120 v transformer for a used T-50 that I purchased.  How long is typical to wait for a response after submitting a request?  Anyone have a suggestion for me?

    Hello-

I just installed a DN32 Dante card in a Midas M32C.  The M32C recognizes the card but when I plug the primary ethernet port to my cisco switch or go directly from laptop to secondary port, there is no network activity leds' flashing so the Dnate Controller software v.4.2.3.1 isn't picking it up.

Am I missing a step somewhere?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Gary Higgins Do you have the latest firmware installed? Dante virtual soundcard installed? I have the X-Dante version but it is not presently in any machine (put in a X-Live) so I'm a bit foggy on it. What are you using for M32 clock? Needs to be EXp Card.

Michael Deming I am using the card for the clock. The Midas is on firmware version 4.02. I must be missing a step as the M32C acknowledges the DN32 Dante card. I'm just not getting any activity lights on the primary or secondary ports. I using a Cisco unmanaged switch and can see my other Dante devices via Dante controller software with no problem.

Gary Higgins OK, only other thought is the firmware for the card, I looked earlier and it was giving a "bad file" message of some sort. I have not used my XDante card in a while, the firmware is the same. I may have it or you could check the Behringer site, it's there v4.08

Michael Deming I can't access the card through the primary or secondary port via Dante Controller software to even see what version it is on. The card is brand new right out of the box. If the M32C didn't recognize the card is installed, I would think I had a dead card. I am not using a virtual IP card in this setup. Thank you for your suggestions.

Gary Higgins Last thought, try lowering the m32 firmware to 3.11 or 12, could be you can then connect the card and upgrade firmware of the Dante card, then move back to 4.02 firmware on the m32. It is possible 4.02 won’t recognize the older firmware...probably not, but possible

I have 5 FBQ2496 Feedbak destroyers, 4 are v1.1 firmware & 1 is v1.0. Where can I find the firmware updates for these, the are not to be found on the Behringer dounloads available for this piece of equipment ?

The manual and sales info specifically states that the firmware is easily updated via midi ( sysex file presumably ) but no further info can be found after extensive search of the web.

Can anyone help me out with solving this ?

Paul Vannatto I don't think the firmware was ever publicly released for that product. V1.0 and 1.1 are pretty old (I had a couple of those a few years ago).

I would like to use my ethernet connection to send outputs from my mains to a PC on the network.

Has anyone done that?  Also, what cables and interfaces do you need to hook up the X USB card to the network?

    Thanks!

Paul Vannatto The X32 ethernet port is for control only using the OSC protocol (via UDP). No audio is passed to it.

The X-USB card provides 32 channel audio (bidirectional) via USB only. If you want audio on a network, you need to invest in an X-Dante card.

joehooli Thanks! So I need a square USB to rectangular USB cord to connect to a PC, yes? Is it a special cable or generic? I have one left over from an older HP printer that might work.

Paul Vannatto Are you using midi to send commands from Cakewalk? If so, you probably have an incorrect midi command somewhere.

Paul Vannatto Yes that is correct. Just wanted to clarify whether you were using midi or OSC as the control communications. I don't use midi, but will pass this on to the developers.

Do you have the Program Change enabled on the Setup, Midi screen?
