Hi folks, need some help on how to connect my 2 x ip2000 to a mixer to get stereo sound. I am use to a passive set up.
any help in this matter will be genuinely appreciated.
    TIA

Nigel67 Hi Keeperlit. If you are only using analogue connections, the you will need two balanced XLR (male to female) cables or balanced 1/4" to male XLR cables depending on the main output connectors on your mixer. You can also use 1/4" jacks to plug into the speakers but I would advise using XLRs as they are more rugged and secure. You then run one cable from the left mix out to your left speaker and the other cable from the right mix out on your mixer to the right speaker

I use Play Acoustic extensively and a huge fan. I have one issue I can't seem to fix, namely I get a popping or crackling sound when I whistle. It is not air noise, I've tested that and I get it when listening to the headphone out on the Play Acoustic itself so it is not somewhere else in the signal chain. It almost sounds like some kind of signal clipping but it happens at all gain settings. This is an amazing unit and perhaps this is simply a type of sound it cannot process. Any suggestions are appreciated. I have tried everything I can think of. BTW, it doesn't seem to be an effect generated problem as it is present in a dry signal.

Greetings - I'm suddenly having an issue pulling up and / or saving shows to my XR18. I typically adjust settings and all after every show / venue, but now, when I try to pull up a saved show, it's the same settings across the board. Ideas on what I may be doing wrong? I connect the mixer to an external router, fyi. I attached a pic for reference. Thank you in advance!

cowboys4033 Does it have anything to do with it showing "Offline Shows"? If so, how do I make it "Online"?

I play digital piano at home ( just cocktail piano- no singing). I have an excellent and very critical ear for music. I play high quality sampled or modelled pianos. My setup at home gives me the perfect sound I need into my Bose headphones. I also play organ, and need some speakers which can reproduce the organ pedal frequency ( down to about 40 hertz).  I would like a pair of speakers to hear the Rotary speaker effect of the organ Leslie simulator.

Task: I want to play some occasional gigs in pubs/ coffee bars ( maybe only 6 per year). Instead of buying a set of speakers for home and a small P.A. Setup for small gig work, I am considering using Tannoy Reveal 802 Monitors for both jobs to get value for money.

The case For: Reveal 802 have 100w power each, and for background piano, I think about 30watts should be fine. So they would not be stressed at all. They have excellent reviews for good bass response without a sub, so should give a rich sound for piano lower keys or organ pedals.

So has anybody else tried this?

Vicped And I should mention that when I go into music shops , salespeople tend to say they aren’t designed for that. Of course they would say that as they want to sell you two products- and they have had the sales training. But setting the design aim aside, my query is ‘ will it work’?

Paul_Vannatto If you look on page 5 of the manual, it clearly says these are "designed as near-field monitors, positioned typically 0.75 to 3 meters from the listener". PA speakers are designed completely different to cover further distance and wider coverage. Also, those speakers have no front screens protecting the drivers. All you need is one drunk poking at your speakers and they are done with.

Pubs are actually quite difficult to do good sound and you need good PA speakers to make it work. One of the bands that I do sound for did a few gigs at a local bar (pub) and using TurboSound iQ12 as the main speakers (2500 watts per speaker), it was a challenge to get it right to get it not too loud but loud enough to get over the ambient noise (of customers talking and whooping it up).

Vicped Thanks for taking the time to reply. Yes I know that monitor speaks are designed for up to 3 metres listening distance. But I am wondering how they perform beyond their design capabilities? E.g. what if a listener is 4 metres away- do the sound waves suddenly stop at 3 metres distance, I don’t think so. So could I get away with more distance, say 6, to 10 metres?
I take your point about damage to the speakers, butI don’t play that type of gig. Think of a piano bar where customers interested in hearing the music sit near to the piano, and those who sit on the other side of the pub don’t need to hear it at all.

      • Using monitor speakers for live performance- low volume small to medium venue
Vicped I can’t be the only person who thinks that buying decent monitors for home and trying to use them in rare live gigs could be a money saver.

Vicped I have looked at the specs for bandwidth and read reviews of P.A. Speakers, but it seems no mid range P.A. Speakers can get near the sound quality of monitors, until you get to the high end products from EV or QTX, which are above my budget and do not make sense for a few gigs per year. Maybe I should explore the HiFi route? Some second hand Mission floorstanders and a decent HiFi amp may be an option….

Paul_Vannatto Well put it this way. You are most welcome to try your near-fields or hifi. Just don't be surprised if they don't ask you back. PA speakers are specifically designed for PA work.

They should partner with L&M/Yorkville who can distribute/retail Coast to Coast

Paul_Vannatto I totally agree with you (partnering with L&M) and was surprised that they chose a small unknown music store in the Toronto area.

I recently got a Brainwaves. I'm starting to scratch the surface of the posibilties of the toneprint editor and I'm starting to fall in love the pedal.
Only downside I have encountered so far is the drop in volume with the pedal switched on.
I've read about this issue on several boards, but can't find anything about it on the tribes.
Is this some 'special feature' of the pedal wich might disapear with a firmware-update in the near future or is there a setting in the toneprint-editor I am missing to make up for this?

Nigel67 Hi Rutger. Please can you submit a Technical Support ticket. If it is a software issue, then the Tech Team will be able to investigate further and feedback to the software team if necessary. This can be done by clicking on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Technical Support tab and submit a ticket. Many thanks

    Hi,

I have not received my activation code.

I need it urgently for a live theater production.
I see that many people are in the same case as me.

I contacted the support team- no answer. I complained on Twitter, the community manager  came back to me, but still, no contact from the support team.

What are you doing ? This is highly unprofessional. But hey, I could have guessed it. Messed up activation system, and messed up support system, what a great combo. I will never buy TC products online.

Also, if I don't get my activation code by tomorrow, I will contest/cancel the PayPal payment, and will signal this scam behavior to the French customs and fraud protection service.

Please, everyone who bought products and haven't received any code:

cancell your PayPal payment, if you didn't received your product activation code.

    We won't get scammed.

    Hi Everyone,

I have tried searching across the internet for the answer but now I am losing the will to live and hoping you guys can be my saviours.

    I have a UMC404HD, Audio Technica M50x headphones, Windows 10 and Cubase 5.

No matter what I do I cannot get sound coming out of the left hand side of my Headphones. I have also tried a cheap set of Odio headphones to get the exact same result. Could this just be a defected interface or am I missing something?

I have tried reinstalling drivers, switching A/B, panning the IN and PB to either side still nothing. The Mono/Stereo switch doesnt seem to do anything at all. I do get sound into the left ear but only the left ear when I plug the cable into the back 1-2-3-4 playback ports.

I am routing the cubase correctly I believe, as the same software works perfectly for my xr18.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello!

I want to buy a Ditto X2 Looper - but I have one question about it. (I don't found any answer in documentation or youtube-vids)

I want to record a loop and than I want to stop the record AND the loop-playing at once. I need the loop in a later section of my song. Is this possible?

I suggest, that with the Ditto X2 it can be work with the FX-Button in Stop-Mode.

So that when loop is in recording (red-lamp) I can stop with FX-Button the recording and loop-playing with one hit at once.
The loop should now blinking green for starting later.

    Is this true?

    Thanks for help

    Walter
