Hello Everyone! Submitted a claim through the portal for my amp that is not working after 6 months. That was Monday. Today is Wednesday. Let's see how long this will take :D

it would be very useful if the blinking remained when you set the tap delay so as to help keep the time in onemanband executions for example

    Hi,

I have a Midas 32R that I'm demoing at a house of worship that is transitioning from a board that has 1/4" outputs. I did not have enough 1/4" female to XLR female adapters so I decided to use the AUX Outputs on the Midas to set up the monitor mixes.  I patched MixBus 1-5 respectively to each of the Aux Outputs 1-5 and set the tap point to PreFader + M. I can control the individual channel volume in the mix, however, I cannot control the overall mix volume. Is there are setting that I am missing?

Paul_Vannatto Either there is a routing error or a parallel signal path. The best thing to do is to export your scene to a file, save to the cloud (eg. Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and provide the shareable link in your next post. That way we can have a look and better advise.

Thanks. I factory reset the mixer. The issue was due to the tap point for the MixBus. The factory reset set the tap point for the MixBus to Post Fader. I now have Master control over the mix.

Does anyone know if there is currently a training course for the m32, I currently run one thru a few production companies but feel i could improve my navigation around the console as well as patching capabilities.

Paul_Vannatto M32 and X32 DSP (screens, routing, etc.) are identical. So any X32 training also applies to the M32. Only the control surface (faders, knobs, etc.) preamps and physical outputs are different. Therefore any X32 training will also apply to the M32. Drew Brashler has a number of excellent tutorials on YouTube.

WilliamR Hello, William from musictribe here. Regretfully, there isn't a fast solution to your particular issue. One thing you can try is to try and hook up your VL3X to the voice support 2 app and try performing a firmware update. If this works then try backing up your presets in the voice support 2 app and perform a factory reset. If this does not work I would suggest clicking the support link above and submitting a tech support case to get the warranty repair process started. Regretfully we do not sell directly either so if you need to purchase a backup you would have to contact one of our super partners like sweet water to make a purchase.

Greetings Tribers! Hoping one of you x32 experts can give me a hand...

First off, yes, I have read another similar thread on this topic (where the x32 Rack was only for monitors), but I'm still struggling with this. Here is a quick synopsis of the problem:

I use an x32 Rack on stage and mix from the audience with a computer running x32 Edit. I work with a bunch of bar bands, so this setup is more than big enough to drive the self powered FoH mains / subs, and a bunch of wired & wireless in-ears monitors (mostly Behringer P2 boxes in mono mode). I have one lead singer in one of the bands who loves to hear the same reverb effect I've applied to FoH on his in-ears monitors. I've gotten this to work on an X-Air 16, but when I try to do the same on the x32, absolutely no effects go to Mix Bus 1 aka In-Ears #1 which goes to OUT1 (in Behringer nomoclature) on the back of the mixer.

I've included screen caps of both the Main LR sends (reverb working perfectly), and the Mix Bus 1 sends (Ian IEM), where no reverb is heard on the in-ears at all, despite having the exact same amount of FX send dialed in. Also included is the x32 Rack SCN file for this particular band - it is very basic, not even a DCA because the drummer uses a Yamaha EAD10 all-in-one drum mic-ing & processing solution.

Happy to upload any additional screen caps or add any additional info, just let me know what. Many thanks in advance!!

Paul_Vannatto Screenshots are pretty useless, since they don't show all the console settings. The attached scene file is what is needed. The reason the Ian IEM is not getting the FX (wet signal) is because you have not sent the FX returns to that bus. Switch to the Aux FX layer of channel strips and send the FX returns (eg. FX1 L, FX1 R, etc.) to the Ian IEM bus.

Perfect, thank you... One thing that may have been confounding me is that I was playing with this in my storage area, and so the mains were nowhere near concert levels. Well, the Main L+R bus was at 0, but the channel volumes were set low to a domestic setting. I did not realize that the Main L+R bus channel 1 (Ian) level needed to be up into a normal performance range in order for the FX to also be sent to the Mix Bus 1 (Ian IEM), so I was wearing the IEM pack, wireless mic in hand, and had a nice loud vocal volume in the IEM, but the mains were at a whisper level, and I was getting no reverb effect at all in the IEM. If you have a moment, could you please clarify why the routing works that way... I'm assuming that this is the way it's supposed to work? I really appreciate the help, and so will Ian this coming Friday night.

Paul_Vannatto No, it has nothing to do with the Main levels. That is not the reason why the Ian IEM bus is not getting the FX (wet signal). Please re-read my previous post. I explained it very clearly why it isn't happening and how to fix it.

I think it would be great if you could create user layouts on the console, similar to Yamaha QL series. This would be a great advantage to get control of what faders you need on one layer. For example I have a band that has many left and right mics or Di's. I would liKe to place the left on the top surface and have it control the right on the hidden bank.

tommorse This would be for the M32

      • User layouts on console
KevinMaxwell A work around for User Layers is to use DCA spill functionality. In the latest firmware if you select a DCA it spills the contents of that DCA to the 16 channel faders to the left side of the console, this is on a full sized M32 or X32. So if you have assigned all of the channels (up to 16 of them) that you want to see (in a custom layer) to a DCA then all you need to do is hit the SEL button above the DCA and you will have the layout you want. So unless you are using all of the DCAs for other things, this can be used as a workaround for custom layers.

Paul_Vannatto This has been requested numerous times over the many years the X32/M32 have been in production. The answer is that it is not possible due to the design limitation of the DSP. If you want custom layers, use either the M32-Edit (for Windows, Mac, linux or Raspberry Pi) or Mixing Station Pro (for iOS, android or PC).

Is there a way to name mix buses on m32r live

    0 8
    • Tykeys2006
Paul_Vannatto Yes of course you can. On the console itself, I believe the scribble strip screen is part of the Setup section. I never do it that way and I only have an X32 Rack here at the moment. The easier and better way to do it is to connect M32-Edit (for Windows, Mac, linux or Raspberry Pi) to the console and right click on the bus' scribble strip and type in the desired name.

GaryHiggins There is a setting/checkbox in X/M32-Edit that says “allow bus naming” or very similar wording. You need to do that. Not sure there isn’t a similar spot on the hardware itself.

The flow8 is disconnected from the power supply, it is only connected via usb to the mac which is in sleep mode, do I have to worry about this rhythmic flashing?

Could I say my wish for WING console??
    ^^
Always I said, WING is already great console.
    One my wish is here.
How about changeable INSERT POINT of Main and MTX like input channels ?
I want to hear purely input signal of Output Main1(2,3,4),
but at this time, it couldn't.
Only can pickup from after INSERT1.
