So I just got my computer hooked up to the mixer and my click track is coming through Aux 1 and 2 to my in ears..which I then was panning to get click track more in one ear.  But if I add a backing track how do I get that track to be separate from the click in my ears?  Currently any tracks I add to my software all come out of aux 1 and 2.  And that won't work since I need the click only coming out of in ears and the backing track coming out of both in ears and FOH.  Thanks

KyleJohnson Hi Mike, Kyle here with Music Tribe. Which digital mixer are you using? In general what you need to do is assign each signal it's own USB output from your computer/software, and then route each one of those USB inputs to it's own channel on the mixer. If you're using the X32, you should open the ROUTING>INPUTS menu and change AUX IN to CARD 1-6 so that you can get 6 discrete channels into the 6 auxes.

Hey Kyle I’m using the X32 Rack. Ok right now I have it just for Card 1-2. Is there a way I can keep as is and just use Aux 1 for my click and Aux 2 for a backing track? I don’t really/need to use all my aux channels for backing tracks. So I think I’m just trying to figure out how to split those couple channels since right now they are sort of being used as one.

      • Backing track going to in ears?
KyleJohnson Yes, you will just need to make an adjustment in your software. Send the click to USB out 1, and your backing track to USB Out 2. I imagine by default you're outputting the Main LR from your software which is all signals mixed, you just need to separate them and give them each their own output path.

Jeffwogle Hey Mike and Kyle, I actually was about to ask the same question, with a little different scenario. We are running 4 stereo mixes for our IEMs and our drummer is using the headphone jack. We have used 15 of 16 available channels to mic up drums, guitars, base, and vocals. We have 1 channel left, but I noticed the 8 TRS in the back. Does mikes solution of using usb 1 and 2 to separate the back tracks from click for the FOH split work for us as well, if we have our hardwire channels already dedicated?

Jeffwogle Also, one more question, If I am using a DAW or even Ableton live, I am wondering do I need any other hardware aside of the X32 Rack to plug in the laptop? What other if any connections do I need?

    Hello!

I have recently purchased a Xtouch Universal control surface.

I have managed to link the device to Cubase using Mackie controls and assign tools to the function buttons. There are issues with the transport, global view, automation and utilty buttons not doing as written. The buttons themselves show a MIDI input level when pressed.

I have updated the controller to the 1.21 firmware.

    Please help!!

DaveMorrison The X-Touch is a Mackie Control clone. Your best resource is the Cubase forums. Pretend the XTouch is a Mackie control unit and learn what a real MCU would do. Then do that to the X-Touch.

    Hello,

I noticed that my new Behringer UMC204HD always has the power light on, even when I turn off the computer. Is this normal or am I supposed to unplug it everytime? It doesn't have a power button so I'm a bit concerned of leaving it on all the time.

    Thanks!

KyleJohnson Hello, Kyle here with Music Tribe. That would indicate that your computers USB ports are still providing 5V power while your computer is off. Are you shutting your computer down completely or just putting it in Sleep mode? I'd take a look at your USB power settings in your computers preferences.

I'm shutting it down completely. I'll try to google how to change the usb power settings. Do you know by any chance how to do it? Thanks!

I am using UCA202 to record my Keyboard. The monitoring output is perfect but the USB output sound is not quite decent (low frequencies not clear)

Does this has something to do with sample rate and stuff? Please help me. I am quite new.

PedroRodrigues Hi aryan12323 I would suggest confirming that you have the ASIO4ALL drivers installed on your computer, it is also important to confirm that you are using a 16-bit 44.1 kHz or 48.0 kHz sample rate. Please confirm that your unit is connected directly to a USB 2.0 port.

I have 4 mono sources plugged in to inputs 5-8. But they are only played on one side of the speakers. How do I get them to play on both sides of the speakers?

    • zakufan
PedroRodrigues Hi zakufan please consider that when you input a mono signal source the unit will only output the signal as a mono signal. To overcome this you must interface the unit with a computer with the Flow 8 App installed where you will access the necessary tools,. For more information please follow the link below https://www.behringer.com/behringer/product?modelCode=P0DNM Thank you

Nigel67 Hi zakufan. With a jack plugged into only one of the sockets of the stereo pair, then you will get audio to both mix L and R, i.e a mono input signal. However if you plug a signal into both jacks of a stereo pair, then the respective signals will only appear on the left or right mix. If you are plugging just one jack in and getting signal only on the left or right, then it could be that the pan on that input is all the way to the left or right. Your exact question is asked on this video that someone has put up on You Tube.

    Hi!

Recently got our HD96-24 and brought it out for a musical this week.
88 inputs with wireless mics, orchestra and band.
    Show file with 70+ scenes
All of this connected through a DL251 and two DL153 on stage.

It's a wonderful and powerful mixer, and we do really love working on it. But several problems have made the production difficult. Surface randomly crashing and rebooting, but still putting sound out.
Show file that randomly cannot be loaded unless you reboot the whole thing.

Have been in contact with Midas and our "local" distributor, but haven't been able to figure a solution out yet.
We are running the newest console firmware, 1.16.0 and the newest surface update 0.9.11. Plus our stageboxes are updated aswell.

We have even brought a new basically unused HD96-24, form a concert hall 4 hours away. And the problems seem to carry over. Starting to wonder if it can't handle a show of this size, but that wouldn't make any sense..

In the middle of producing a musical with premiere a few days away, this isn't what we had hoped for.

KevinMaxwell Was the show file written and then the console firmware updated? I don’t know anything about this mixer so I am just making suggestions from experience with other mixers. Can you find any consistency as to where and when it starts to act up? Did you update the borrowed mixer or was it already on the same firmware?

Just the other day I was having problems with communication with a mixer that I just took it out of the box it came in, it was brand new. I turned it on and looked to see what firmware it had in it and then immediately updated to the latest firmware and I tried to set it up with a commuter communicating with it and it wasn’t communicating at all. And I have a lot of experience with this setup and know how to setup the IP addresses in the console and computer. After about an hour of trying everything I could think of I did a factory reset. And it started communicating with the computer. I had remembered someone saying to always do a factory reset after updating the firmware. The factory reset didn’t revert to an older firmware on this mixer.

Some mixers will change everything when doing a factory reset some will only change some things. So be sure to back up everything that you can and write down all of your settings. Have you tried to revert to a previous firmware? And do you have all of your scene settings written down.

After backing everything up I would try a factory preset and then try loading the show file again. Can you copy the show file and break it up into smaller (fewer scenes) show files and see if it only crashes in a certain section of the show file. Divide and conquer.

Worst case scenario after a factory reset can you rewrite the show from the beginning and pause about every 10 scenes and step thru the cues and see if there is a point where it no longer works correctly. Or if you are doing anything really out of the ordinary in a scene or 2 try to simplify those scenes and see if it then works ok. This is assuming that you may have found a bug in the software and if you can find the combination that causes the crash maybe you can avoid it and at least get thru the show.

Is there a file that the console saves that will show where the problem is? I hope you can talk to someone at Midas and send them any files that they would need (including your show file) to test this on a mixer at their facilities.

My sound system installation contractor says he ordered it at the end of March, 2021. He still says there is not even a tracking number. How long is this backed up? When will I get it?

Nigel67 Hi JinWookEddieKim. Unfortunately we do not have any visibility of when products are being shipped from the factory to our Super Partners. Only they (the Super Partner) will have this information. Please ask your installation contractor to contact the Partner and they will be able to give him an answer.

    Hi,

I have two KXD15 for keyboard practise and thinking of adding a pair of subs.

The manual details connecting a B1500D-PRO using a 1/4 inch jack and I guess it’s XLR terminated.

As the B1500D-PRO is no longer available I can source a pair of VQ1500D with similar connections.

Can I adjust the crossover frequency to allow the sub to handle the low frequencies only and the KXD15 to handle the mid and high frequencies?

If not, is there a benefit to a 15" sub to a 15" combo?

    Regards,

    Dalryc

PedroRodrigues Hi Please consider that the VQ1800D when it comes to frequency control will provides very similar tools as the B1500D-PRO does, as they both offer HIGH CUT controls the upper corner frequency for the subwoofer’s amplifier and you will not have any issues implementing the VQ1800 with your KXD15. Nevertheless you must be aware that when it comes to crossover function that is managed exclusively by the KXD15 that feeds the lower frequencies on to the Sub not allowing any fine adjustments. For this set up you must use a 1/4" TS 120 Ω, unbalanced connector to feed the signal on to any Sub. Thank you

      • Subwoofer for a Keyboard Amp/PA Combo ?
dalryc Hi Pedro, thanks for that as I now understand. I will be looking at the VQ1500D rather than the 18" speaker - should that benefit me with the 15" combo amp? Also, Can I feed into the sub woofer then use it's crossover to feed into the keyboard amp? Regards, Dalryc
