    Hi there,

I've been using my Behringer Xenyx Q1002USB Mixer for the last couple of years now and never run into a problem until yesterday. All of a sudden my audio from my Shure PGA 28 microphone isn't being received by my desktop nor my laptop. When I listen internally through the mixer itself the mic works fine so it's not the mic. The output works fine as well. When plugged in to my desktop I can hear all my computer sounds. I tried device manager driver updates and that didn't do anything.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Sarah

Nigel Turner Hi Sarah. From your description it sounds as though you are using a Windows computer, again probably Windows 10. Do you know if it has made a software upgrade between the times it was working and isn't? On the computer, if you go into Sounds > Recording, is the mixer being shown there? If so, there is a bargraph on the right hand side of the setting. If you play music into the computer from the mixer, is the bargraph lighting. If so, then the audio is getting into your computer and is possibly an issue with your DAW. If your mixer isn't showing up in the Recording setting, go into your Bluetooth and other devices and see if the mixer is showing up under audio devices.

Sarah Noiseux 1. Yes, I'm using Windows 10 (sorry forgot to mention that).
        2. No software upgrades on the website that I can see.
        3. The mixer shows up but bar graph doesn't move at all when I talk in the mic and when I play music through the mixer.

Nigel Turner Hi Sarah, It does sound as though you have a fault on the USB although it is strange that your computer is seeing the mixer. Could you just take a look at the link below and confirm that you have everything set the same. Also, on your mixer, can you check that both the USB/2TRK switches are in the up position. Are you able to play audio from the computer to the mixer and hear it. You do have to push in the USB/2TRK to main switch to hear it? If not, then the only other thing I can think of for your to check is with another computer and if that doesn't work you will need to raise a service ticket for repair. let me know how you get on.

Sarah Noiseux Hi Nigel, I do not see a link anywhere. I tried with my laptop as well with no luck. I have both USB/2-TRACK buttons pushed and to hear the mic working I hit the FX TO CTRL RM button. I also would like to mention I purchased the mixer at BestBuy.ca in 2018. Not sure if submitting a ticket will do anything at this point in time.

Nigel Turner Sorry, forgot to add the link. It does mention setting up in Audacity, you can ignore that part, you just need to make sure that the Windows part is the same.

I noticed that you also mentioned you have both USB/2 Track buttons pressed. If the TO MAIN MIX is in, then you will not get any audio back to the computer through the USB as this button cuts the audio to the USB to stop any possibility of causing feedback

    Hi.

I've been asked to do a virtual performance at a hospital. Never done this before and was hoping that someone who has, could kindly point out some do's and dont's. Especially someone who has used their play acoustic to do so. I'm pretty sure they will supply a windows laptop, and will be using webex. I'm guessing that webex is very similar to zoom.

I've had the playacoustic hooked up to my own windows 10 pc and the first thing I noticed, was the very low output using the usb. With the usb level maxed out in the playacoustic, I can't see anyway to increase the level. The other obvious problem was when I routed the audio to the pc headphone out, the latency was terrible. I can of course use the playacoustic's headphone to monitor, but I'm guessing that I'm going to look like I'm terrible at miming. As bad as the dubbing on a Kung Fu movie. I'm guessing no, but is there a way to get the latency down?

    Thanks in advance.

    Tony.

BTW. What on earth has happend to the TC Helicon user forum? This music tribe thing is a nightmare! I searched for play acoustic and only got 4 pages of posts that were of no use to me. What happend to all the posts? So much good information from users and TC hellicon staff seems to have gone. Haven't seen the term " user forum " once, and I'm not even sure this post is going to go to the right place. In the drop down menus you have to select before you can post,  there is no mention of TC Hellicon let alone the play series.

Will an x32 compact retain all its setup as in fader positions, scenes etc when depowered/repowered. The scenario is in a church where very few have technical knowledge and powering up and down I need settings to remain.

Kyle Johnson Hi Matt, Kyle here with Music Tribe. In general, yes. The X32 saves it's current state every 2 minutes, and it will always boot in the same state that it was last shut down in. The only exception would be the Main LR Fader which by default will drop to the bottom when booted, but you can change this setting so that the Main LR Fader returns to it's last used point when powered up.

      • X 32 Compact keeping settings
Kyle Johnson It's in the Setup>Config menu, the option you are looking for is called "Safe Main Levels". If it's checked, the mains will drop down at power on.

Is it possible to simply take the SD cards from the Live card and import the tunes to Logic X?

I just cannot master the 'Saves' and 'Safes' on the scenes.  I just renamed all my input Scribble Strips.  I want these to remain the same for ALL scenes...but when I go to another Scene, my Scribs have returned to their original settings.

I assume I need to use the Safe selections, but where and when?

Rex Beckett Hi Derrill, you can protect the scribble strips by enabling the Name/Icon option on the console Scenes -> Param Safe tab with encoder #1. This can also be done using X32 Edit on the Scenes -> Mixer Safes tab (see screenshot).

    Dear Team,

We are Hoang Bao Khoa, a distributor of Music Tribe in Vietnam. We are looking for spare parts of woofer which is diaphragm.

We know that your end sells woofer as a spare part. How about the diaphragm of woofer only?

As our customers send us their feedback about this. When their Turbosound speakers have problem with woofer, they need to change the whole woofer instead of its diaphragm part only. This makes the fee for repairing increase. Meantime, JBL brand offers the smaller components of woofer (as in the picture), which reducing the cost much.

Kindly advise if your end provide diaphragm as a spare part? Or any better suggestion?

    Thanks

    Diem

My church has an X32 mixer. The AES50 ports aren't working and we can no longer use our S16 stagebox. I was wondering if I could send signal from the stagebox using the Dante network expansion card? Or do I need to get the AES50 port repaired, as it's the only way to send audio to the mixer over ethernet?

    • Alfred Smith
Nigel Turner Hi Alfred. Unfortunately Dante and AES50 are totally different protocols and will not talk to each other directly. You would need some kind of converter inbetween such as the Klark Teknik DN9650. For the cost of the DN9650, you would be able to get your console repaired a number of times. The problem sounds more stagebox though than mixer. Have you plugged your S16 into the AES50A and AES50B ports on the X32 and it is not syncing on either port? If so, then unless there is a setting that has changed on the mixer or S16, then it is more than likely going to be a problem on the S16 or maybe even the cable between the two. Have you raised a technical ticket with us where we may be able to help you further?

    Hi

What is the maximum size USB flash drive I can put in the top surface USB slot on thew Wing? Tried a 128GB and it came up with a red exclamation mark symbol. 16GB seems to work fine so it must be somewhere between these two.

In fact while I'm here what's the biggest SD card in the Live module too?
