The main output 15 for the left channel is lower in volume and not sending the correct highs while using the built in white noise generator, but switching and patching the left main out to any other output sounds the way it should, for instance, setting the main left out to output 5 or 8 sounds the way it should.. Its been factory reset, and checked with different speakers and cables...  bringing the main left and right output of 15/16 back into the board with wire using input channels 1&2 do not null.

Nothing is panned and results are the same before and after a factory reset.

Nigel67 Hi Ray. I think that you probably have a failed electrolytic capacitor in the analogue circuitry on that output which is why the sound is being affected. The console will need to be repaired. This can be done by clicking on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Service tab and submit a ticket. A colleague will then get back to you with an RMA number and advise the local service centre to you.

Nigel67 Hi Gary, if you right click on the small speaker icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen and select Sounds. In the new page that opens, select the Recording tab. Highlight the USB Audio Codec device (you have installed the ASIO driver?) and select properties, In the new page select the Advanced tab. The Default Format is probably set to 1 channel. Make this 2 Channel and whichever quality option you require. Click on apply and this should have fixed your issue.

I am running an X32 on version 4.04. Today I tried to record my pastors sermon but about 8 minutes into the recording, it just stopped. Since we do 2 services, I cleaned the stick of all recordings and tried again. The same thing happened again, started recording then stopped a few minutes into the sermon.
Has anyone else experienced this?  I have been using this board for 3 years and have not had this issue before.  I updated the firmware about 2 months ago and I am wondering if that could be where the problem might be?

Nigel67 Hi Tchym42. Can I confirm that you are using a 32Gb USB stick or smaller, formatted for FAT32? The first thing I would suggest is another USB stick. It could be that the one you are using has become faulty. Do you normally only copy the audio off the stick or do do always format the stick again after removing the audio? Who are the manufacturer of the USB stick?

1st, does the 6-way footswitch even work with the Voice Live 3 Extreme?

If it does as I was told it works with the VL3X; how do you activate it?

Hello All, thank you for reading about my question/issue

    I am using:

    - XLR INPUT 9 thru 16 (Basstation/Minilogue/Wavestate/Opsix/sub 37/Tr-8S/Digitakt/HydraSynt)

I recently got a Volca Drum and as I no longer have room 9 thru 16 so I put it:

    - XRL INPUT 1  (1 THRU 8 inputs), I even tried ... 2,3,4,5,6 ..

The issue is that 1 - 8 is setup as "CARDS" (whatever that means - I just want sound) so that means that the CARDS in question seem to give me my PC sound and disable XLR input 1-8. It seems that I cannot have both PC sound and 1 - 8 XLR sound at the same time (I did change the "cards" to "local 1 - 8" but it is like turning on and off PC sound/Volac Drum - cannot have boith !!)

Changing from Recording to Play does the same.

    The question is:

How can you possible have both the sound of your PC and sound from the XLR from using XRL 1 thru 8 ?

It is working just fine when I use XRL 9 thru 16 !!

I would be so grateful for some help.

    Oliver

RexBeckett Hi Oliver, I suggest that you route local XLR inputs 1-8 to channels 1-8 and route the PC USB Returns (Card) to channels 17-32. See screenshot from X32 Edit below.

lysknight Rex thank you so much but I don't have such a screen, I have an X32 compact. See picture - either card or local. Cannot do both to have my 2 sounds via 1 thru 8 inputs. I'm a humble musician not an engineer :) I bought the X32 compact because it has a lot of XRL inputs, that is all, I didn't know it would be that complex - if you know of a brand that can handle that many XLR inputs PLUS sound from the computer at the same time please let me know I will gladly sell this one on ebay.

      • X32 COMPACT - AUDIO SELECTION QUESTION
RexBeckett The screenshot was from X32-Edit. This is a PC software interface that can be used with any member of the X32 family. I can explain the how to make the settings directly on the console:

The X32 Compact has sixteen Local XLR inputs but it supports thirty-two channels. The association of channels with inputs is done on the Routing -> Home page that you show above. This is set almost as I suggested. To implement the routing that I suggested, you just need to use encoder 1 to select Local 1-8 for Inputs 1-8.

Now channels 1-16 are the local XLR inputs and channels 17-32 are from USB (Card). You can select which channels the faders control by using the four Inputs buttons on the left of the console.

Input routing and layer switching are common to most digital consoles. It is how so much functionality can be packed into such small products. The X32 family are generally considered easy to use. Once you get over the learning-bump of routing, I think you will agree.

lysknight Rex, a HUMONGOUS thank you for ALL your help. IT WORKED. I switched 1 thru 8 to local but I never, ever thought that after that I had to select the 17-24 inputs AND then use the sliders. My God can you believe how stupid I am !! But you didn't give up :) I couldn't be happier because I was sooo frustrated. Thanks to you I understand know the routing thing much clearer. A ZILLION thanks again to you and your patience. I will keep the X32 of course.

I have had issues the last several updates to X32 Firmware, and the few Edit program updates with connectivity to X32 Producers.

I can function Edit offline, and create mixes no problems.

When connecting to the X32, it works and communicates, moving scenes either direction.

Problem 1:  after a couple hours online the communications stop and it disconnects.  Reconnect and sync gets it back up... 4 minutes later it disconnects again... nonstop.  Even rebooting the computer, it disconnects after a few minutes.

Problem 2:  The Edit functions are very slow in reacting to functioning mouse clicks, or changing tabs.  This has been since the X32 4.06 fw update and the 4.1 Edit update.  The Master Fader level display on Edit is 20 dB less than the X32 actual.

    What is going on?

      DavidKnighton Hello MikeRyan,
Are you able to try the connection using a different computer? If so, do you have similar results? My initial thought here is that the computer hardware may be getting old, being that it was manufactured almost 13 years ago. That could explain the dropouts. Are you connecting through a router/switch or direct connection between mixer and computer? You might want to submit a SUPPORT ticket for this, but my first recommendation would be to try a newer computer and see if you have better results.

Tried several computers, newer Macs, and Dell. And 3 different x32’s. 2 Rack 32’s and one Producer. Same results. 32 Edit is screwed up.

Hi all. First time on this because I'm somewhat stumped.

I work at a school and I want to start recording kids playing music/singing. I'm using a Behringer Xenyx X2222USB mixer plugged into a PC. My problem is I have one set of speakers and they are in the same room as the microphone recording, say, vocals. When I'm recording I have to turn the speaker's power off to they don't bleed into the mic. What I want to do is to be able to turn the sound off the speakers without having to essentially unplug them. I have Main Out, Sub Out and Control Room out. Is this even possible?

    Thanks.

RexBeckett Hi rtravers, I think it would be better to connect your monitor speakers to the Control Room outputs. That way you have some other ways to mute the speakers without affecting the USB recording feed. Options include:

Turning down the Phones/Control Room level.

Selecting 2-TR/USB as the Phones/Control Room Source. It also requires that the DAW/recording software does not have monitoring enabled. This method also has the benefit of allowing you to listen to playback when the recording session is finished.

Selecting Sub 1-2 as the Phones/Control Room Source and ensuring that the Sub button is not pressed on any channel strip and also that the FX Return to Sub 1-2 button is not pressed.

    Hello,

Is it possible to add delay to a mix buss?

    0 12
    • BillCronheim
RexBeckett Hi Bill, you can add delay to a bus by inserting a delay FX. I find that using one side of the Dual Pitch Shifter works well for this. If you set Semi and Cent to 0 then it will function as a delay with finer resolution than most delay FX processors.

Hi, My Behringer VC340 is bricked on software update - STUCK IN DFU MODE. Have tried using the latest version of Synthtribe V2.51 mac, running big sur. I've tried V2.5 as well, same issue and problem.

Anyone have a solution? or hack? or a download of older synthtools / synthtribe other than NOT V2.5 as that has the same issue.

BEHRINGER... SHAMEFULL UPDATE. Get it together, some of us are professionals who rely on their synths to make a living. Grrrrrr.

JoeRivers96 Hi, would you mind submitting a support ticket with us using the SUPPORT button at the top of this page? We will need to look into this further for you, if the unit is stuck in DFU mode it is unlikely that an older version on SynthTribe will solve this.
