Im on the same network wirelessly do I need to hard wire to the router? when asked to enter ip address and hit enter nothing happens? but I believe I should see the mixer in the setup window prior to this anyway? Im new at this so can anyone help thanks.

      David Knighton Hello Phillip Snell,
Both the mixer and the computer need to be on the same network. The mixer does not have a built in WiFi radio, so you must hardline it to either a WiFi router, or directly to your computer. Here are some example settings that should work for you.

      Mixer IP: 192.168.1.100
      Mixer Subnet: 255.255.255.0

      Computer IP: 192.168.1.101
      Computer Subnet: 255.255.255.0

Ensure the console firmware is updated, as well as the EDIT software. Current firmware release is 4.03 and current EDIT release is 4.1.

Phillip Snell if I change the ip on the mixer will that mess up any of my routing in the church? this means that all the musicians using the current ip will have to use the new ip for their iPhones for monitor mixes? This should not effect any live stream stuff I hope? our live stream is wired directly.

Phillip Snell The mixer is plugged into the wifi network so I should be able to connect wirelessly after I get the ip addresses right? as you mentioned above

      David Knighton Hi Phillip Snell,
If your mixer is already working with other remote devices, then we need to focus on the Mac computer. Leave the Mixer settings alone for now. You do want to check and see what the mixer settings are currently set as, or if it is currently set to DHCP. Go to SETUP>NETWORK and take a picture for me if you're not certain. Note: if the console is on DHCP, then your computer will need to be on DHCP as well. Also, if you computer is hardlined to the network, you may want to turn off your Airport.

To change IP settings on a Mac, I recommend watching this tutorial in the link below.

Hope someone might help me with this one.  I'm somewhat new to the whole Eurorack scene.  Recently, I bought a Eurorack Go Case and have been happily filling it with modules.  That said, it is getting to the point where I have so many modules that I want to make sure I don't accidentally fry any of them.  I've read the instruction manual several times over again, but am having trouble making sense of it ... .

First, the manual describes three Zones -- A, B, and C.  Am I correct to infer that they go from right to left in the case?  Also, the manual shows "Section A" as being in "Zone C," although "Section B" is in "Zone B."  Is this an error?  Are the "Sections" and "Zones" supposed to be the same thing?

Also, am I correct to infer that I have up to 1A in each Zone?  If so, is that for both the top and bottom row altogether, or seperately in each Zone?  And does this only apply to the +12 VDC Supply for the modules?

Speaking thereof, am I correct to infer that I am not to exceed 1A for the whole case in regards to the +5 VDC Supply, as well as the -12 VDC Supply?

Thanks in advance for any and all of your help.

      David Knighton Hello Will Beazley,
Take a look at the screenshot below. The manual states not to exceed +12V for EACH zone, not to exceed +5V TOTAL for all zones, and not to exceed -12V TOTAL for all zones. The power supply is 13V rated for 5 amps, so if we divvy that up, it's 3+1+1 split +12, +5. and -12.

As for the zones, you can see that Zone A is contained on the PSU input section entirely. Zone B is adjacent to Zone A and is separated by a jumper cable. Finally, Zone C is adjacent to Zone B and dead ends at the far left of the rack. I hope this helps to clear up the confusion.

      • Eurorack Go Case: Zones, Sections, and Proper Ampere Usage
Will Beazley Awesome! Thanks so much. So it seems I basically understood how the power is to be divvied up per zone. To be sure, though, each zone consists of both the top and bottom rows in their respective areas of the case? I'm guessing so since the "connectors," I believe they are called, are all shown for top and bottom rows of the case in each respective zone ... .

        David Knighton Hello Will Beazley,
Yes that's correct. In the screenshot you can see zone C for examples spanning from left to right contains both upper connector and lower connectors. The lower connectors are oriented differently because they are intended to feed the lower portion of the rack.

David Knighton I'm just now seeing the silkscreen error you were talking about. On the PCB it says section A but below it says Zone C. I would disregard this, because at the end of the day, all the zones have an equal amount of amperage available on the +12V rail.

    Is anyone using this combination?

The crossover settings on the back of the sub refer to speakers in the NKKST series (no Hz given). I have the B2031a monitors (which I love), and they are rated down to 40Hz. Unsure what would be ideal for setting the sub crossover.

    Thoughts? Experiences?

      David Knighton Hello Paul Ward,
If we look at the QSG for the K10S, it suggests a variable crossover of 40-150HZ. Now the control on the back doesn't give HZ like you mentioned, it gives Models in the same family. The K8 would be an 8" woofer, and since the B2031A has an 8.75" woofer, the K8 setting would be the closest match. In my honest opinion, this is most likely crossing at 40Hz on the K8 setting, and then the K5 setting to the right would be 150Hz. Smaller speaker tend to have less bass response, so they could do better with more sub emphasis. Since the K8 is a larger woofer, it doesn't require SOO much sub emphasis. Now, realistically, you don't want your B2031A and K10S spitting out too much of the same low frequency, otherwise it could result in a bottom heavy mix. The B2031A will have a low frequency adjustment to help compensate for this. You'll just have to play with it to find the sweet spot for your room. Not all rooms will be the same. Also, you'll want the sub and the monitors on the same axis so that all the woofers line up. If the sub is too far forward, you'll hear the energy from the sub before the monitors, and this can cause phase shifting/comb filtering in the low end, which is bad for your mix.

Mac OS (high Sierra 10.13.6 ) supports 32 bit drivers for Studio Konnekt 48 but an error appeared on the last start. After that, the control panel will not start. What can be wrong? Previously worked on this operating system for two years without problems.

    Hi,

I am setting up my reconditioned NX6000D and have two questions:

In stereo configuration, is the peak limiter total power output (i.e total of both channels)?

When I calculate the voltage using the power rating of the speakers and Ohms law I get a different value to that shown when I select the impedence and adjust the peak limiter control to match the power rating of the speakers, why is this?

    Many thanks in advance.

Nigel Turner Hi Angelos. Is the Music ID Account that you are trying to make on the Home page in the top right hand corner next to the flag of the country you reside in? If so, then this is a sign in only for resellers / partners. The only login that you can make, is from the Community page or the free Music Tribe page. If you could send me the link where you are trying to make an account, then I can confirm whether it is possible or not.

I bought a System 55 and the Oscillator Driver was not tracking even 2 octaves in tune.  If I tuned to middle C, the C above was 25-30cents flat and after 2 octaves it was playing a sharp B(!).  Going below Middle C the notes got sharper in the same amount.  Sweetwater switched the Oscillator Driver and it's just as bad.  Tried different cables, different pitch sources and both out of tune the EXACT same amount.  Has anyone else had major issues with these modules?  I even tried calibrating the driver but the amount needed to correct the issue was more turns than the potentiometer allowed -  I was pinned all the way to the extreme of the turn.  Anyone?

We recently updated our X32 to version 4 and as with most updates nothing looked the same and there was a moment of fear when we realized that the backup that we had stored on a flash drive wasn't as recent as it should have been ( actually months old).  One of our crew has had to much time on his hands with the covid slowdown and jumped the gun without backing things up the day on the install.  Our X32 is hooked to S32. We have 11 bus mixes to individual IEM and a mix for stage wedges and a mix for the drums. All of our inputs on stage came back, but for some reason the output for the monitors didn't click. On initial install we had got some help from here so I didn't hesitate to come back for more help. One of the new features of version 4 is 1 to 1 user patching. No more groupings of 8 at a time. You can now set channels in and out one at a time.. We chose to go ahead with that routing since we had the option.  After sending a request to one of the moderators that had helped before, I had an answer in a couple of days that took care of my routing issues.    All this is to preface a couple of things. First  backup ...backup ...backup.

Second. These are a great group of people that are here for you. People who are like me and you that have learned from their mistakes, but have chosen to go an extra mile and share their experiences and time to make our lives a bit easier.

Lastly. Don't ever be afraid to ask for help. There is always someone here for you. Whether it's a moderator or just somebody that came here for a different reason and happens to see your problem and knows a possible solution. One thing you can know for sure. Always pay it forward, it always comes back when you help someone.

    Hello everybody,

is it possible to control Ableton using Switch 6 through VLX3 MIDI Out?

    Chris

    • Ade Christanto
Leah from Music Tribe Hello Ade,

The footswitch compatibility on the VL3/VL3X does not send out any MIDI messages. Instead, the assigned parameters will be tied to certain CC/PC messages. You can use these messages as triggers to "control" your DAW functions.

You can find the different MIDI implementation functions listed in the back of the product User Manual. Here's a link to the device manual: https://www.tc-helicon.com/product.html?modelCode=P0DEG

You will also need to consult your DAW's guide/manual for how to program your DAW to receive the messages to trigger the functions in the program.

      I hope this helps. Thanks!
