    Hi all,

     

    I've recently come into possession of a Behringer CDP1000 electric piano keyboard. Everything works as it should EXCEPT that it did not come with the cable from the pedals to the main unit. Would anyone know how/where to get one? Thanks!

      Nigel67 Hi Andrew. This is quite an old product. I am unsure if we would still have the cable, but the best people to ask would be the Spares Team. To contact them, click on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Spares tab and submit a ticket. A colleague will then get back to you with availability and pricing. If they do not have stock, then they may be able to tell you the type of cable you need and you could get one made up.

    About a month a go i bought a ditto looper , and it has already stopped working. it records the loop and plays it back but while i am recording it cuts the signal and i cant hear what i am playing.  this is extremely frustrating as i recently paid time for a space to record and the loop was going to be an integral part of my set up and sound. ive wasted alot of money because of this ?

      Nigel67 Hi Jeremy, I am sorry to hear of your issue. If your unit is 30 days or less old, please contact the shop that you purchased it from and ask for a DOA replacement. Even if it is a couple of days over, it may be worth contacting them and seeing if they will exchange it. If over 30 days, then it will have to come in for repair. To do this you will need to send in a ticket to our Service Department. This can be done by clicking on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Service tab and submit a ticket. A colleague will then get back to you with an RMA number and advise the local service centre to you.

    At a gig.  Connected Mac X-AIR app to the XR18 with AP wireless connect without a problem.  Then went to connect the USB for recording which took a little longer than expected, but did connect within a minute.  I can see the X18/XR18 device in the Audio Devices window of the Audio MIDI Setup utility. Open Logic Pro X to set up a new recording session.  Less than a minute later, the X18/XR18 device disappears from the Audio Devices window of the Audio MIDI Setup utility. Logic Pro X puts up the usual "The last selected audio interface is not available" dialog.  I dismiss that.  Now Logic Pro X freaks out, continually showing the previous dialog and a dialog about the number of MIDI devices changing.  Given this, I try replugging the USB cable, the X18/XR18 device briefly shows in the Audio Devices window of the Audio MIDI Setup utility then disappears.  So I try a known good USB cable.  No response from the X18/XR18.  By now instruments and mics are plugged in and working, X-AIR app is working fine.  I try another Mac, (same OS etc...) no response from the X18/XR18.  We do the gig without recording.

    At home, I try the first(suspect) cable.  USB connection is unstable, the X18/XR18 device shows intermittently in the Audio Devices window of the Audio MIDI Setup utility.  Eventually, it stops showing up at all.  I try the known good cable, no response.  Reboot the XR18 with good cable.  the X18/XR18 device shows up in the Audio Devices window of the Audio MIDI Setup utility and the USB connection is stable.  Try the suspect cable again and I'm able to recreate the behavior.  Once the the X18/XR18 device no longer shows in the Audio Devices window of the Audio MIDI Setup utility, there appears to be no way to reinitialize the USB connection without power cycling the unit.

    I hope this helps.

    <opinion>

    This behavior is unacceptable in a live sound/recording environment.  Power cycling something in the middle of an event can cause serious damage as it can be extremely difficult to make sure all affected equipment is muted or turned off. 

    This will likely require a firmware upgrade.

    This kind of testing needs to be done and this behavoir documented in the XR18 and X-AIR manuals.  The word "troubleshooting" isn't even in the manuals that I could find.

      Nigel67 Hi myk247365, I am sorry to hear of the USB issue that you are experiencing. Was this the first time that you had tried the USB connection or had it been working previously? It does seem as though you have an XR18 with an intermittent USB socket or USB circuitry. Are you using a USB hub? If so, can you try the connection without it. Please also try another USB connector on your MAC. If you go into system preferences on your Mac and then the Sound tab, then the Input tab, when the connection has failed, is the XR18 still viewable as an input device or has it disappeared? To be able to repair your unit, please can you fill out a Technical Support ticket. This can be done by clicking on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Technical Support tab and submit a ticket. We will then be able to advise you further.

      thanks Nigel, I had used the USB connection on and off for two years without any issues. There's no hub involved. When the device disappears from the Audio Devices window of the Audio MIDI Setup utility, it doesn't show in the Sound Control Panel Input tab either. However, having used a new USB cable for several hours without issue, I think the problem is solved. I just wanted to document the behavior so anyone searching would find something. Is there somewhere I should report this so the behavior can be tested and fixed in a firmware release?

        Nigel67 You can send the Technical Department a ticket and advise them of the issue. To do this, please click on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Technical Support tab and submit a ticket. Having read your reply, I think that this is more likely to be a USB connector issue where the pins on the connectors were wearing out making intermittent contact. This will happen eventually with constant use. I do not think that it is a software issue, but please send in a ticket and the Tech Team will look into it for you. Many thanks

    Example:

    I'm using Pro Tools.  All is good with 404.

    I close PT.

     

    I open ZOOM to start a meeting.  Zoom does not "connect" to 404.

    Or I open Itunes.    No Audio.  Itunes does not connect to 404.

     

    Every time I switch programs (Itunes, Adobe Premiere, PT, Zoom) that I'm using.... I have to re-boot my computer.

    Then if I open zoom (or other program) the 404 works.

     

    Then if I try to go to another audio-using software (Itunes).... there's no audio.  I have to re-boot again.

    Help?

    Salut a tous, j'ai perdu des presets de mon voicelive 3 que j'ai voulu mettre le firmware a jour. Est-ce que quelqu'un aurait une solution a recuperer les presets qui ont ete supprimes du voicelive 3?

    I have followed many videos and still can't get my nighthawk router to connect to my X32. I installed the router on my home network and it worked fine. Is there a router delete on the X32 that will clear any routers previous information? Other people have connected their routers to my board? I can't figure this out, thanks for the help!

      Nigel67 Hi Jim. Have you plugged your computer directly into the ethernet port and checked that the port is still working? It could be that the port has broken since the last person connected to it and the reason that your router does not work. You can factory reset the mixer. This will clear all settings. Make sure you have backed up all your scenes, presets, etc as they will be deleted. Check your ethernet cable isn't broken. Are you setting the network settings to DHCP? This is the easiest way to begin with. Also do a factory reset on your router just to make sure you have a clean start.     Hello. My delay randomly turns up without me touching anything. It's delay in FX4 slot. Controlled by DCA8. The physical fader doesn't move by itself but see it move on my iPad screen. It happens at random times and even when I'm not hooked up to the iPad and don't have a router plugged in. I've triple checked all of my routing and I can't find an issue there. Been running FW 4.2. Just went to 4.6. No change. 
    Anyone experienced this? It's a gen 1 X32 but everything else works great.

      Nigel67 Hi Edennis201. I do not recognise this as a previously reported bug. We are going to require a show file / scene and some video if possible showing the bug happening. It will be easier if you can open a Technical Support Ticket and we can converse through that. This can be done by clicking on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Technical Support tab and submit a ticket. many thanks. As a test, can you assign the delay to another DCA and fader and see if the same thing happens. Just to rule out an issue with the DCA8 circuitry or fader.

    Hello, 

    I recently started using the UMC22 to record guitar and bass into my computer. I use Garageband on my Mac.

    The input is extremely low. The recording volume is grayed out, so I can't change it. When I go into Sound Settings and it tells me that "THE SELECTED DEVIDE HAS NO INPUT CONTROLS" so I can't adjust the settings. I have to turn every single knob all the way up on my bass and the interface to get minimal sound recorded.

    I checked my cable, the battery in my amp, all possible configurations in GarageBand, created a new MIDI Aggregate Device, and no luck. 

    I have searched in many forums and I have tried everything I have found. 

    Any help is welcome.

    Anyone know when Behringer is going to update X Air Edit to work on Big Sur?

      When I open app, it says developer needs to update the app. Got around it by control clicking on the app, but otherwise Big Sur won’t open it.

        Nigel67 Was X Air Edit already installed when you updated to Big Sur? If so, I would try uninstalling and then re-installing the XAir Edit software. You may come up against a security issue when re-installing the software, but this link explains this and you should follow the instructions under the heading 'Allowing Specific Applications'. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201642. Apart from that, if your unit is running the latest firmware and the X Air Edit software is the latest version, then there should be no issues. I haven't come across the issue you describe.
