Been using this for a couple of years. Suddenly, during playback of a recorded loop, I'm getting a loud burst of white noise. Sounds like a capacitor discharging. It's sporadic and random, and loud so clearly is unpleasant and unacceptable during any performance.

HI, I have just purchased the TC Electronic HOF Reverb pedal and no matter what sound I download the dry sound does not come through. I only get the reverb when pressing the pedal.
I would be grateful if you could advize or is the pedal faulty?

    Best regards, Jan

      kiskadar69 "Kill-dry on/off
When you activate Kill-dry, the direct signal is removed from the pedal’s output. Use this mode when you place your TC Electronic effect pedal in a parallel effects loop.
To set Kill-dry mode, proceed as follows:
► Disconnect the pedal and turn it on its back.
► Unscrew the back plate of the pedal and look for the two small dip-switches in the upper left corner.
► The lower DIP switch (the one further away from the power in jack), switches between Killdry on and Kill-dry off mode.
You can only remove the dry signal from the signal path if you have selected Buffered Bypass mode using the upper DIP switch – see 'Switching the pedal from true bypass to buffered bypass mode'. Kill-dry is not available in True Bypass mode"

Hi, the inside of the unit does not have these switches because my reverb pedal is the HOF Mini Reverb pedal. Can you tell me where I can get hold of a manual? Thank you.

    Hi.

After living with this pedal, I learnt to live with its querks. It sounds great but there are some extremely basic features that make no sense in a live setting using with  a pedal switcher with MIDI:

    1) When a board is selected via Program Change signal, there is a lag, which I now understand from previous TC communications about time needed to change boards. The most frustrating part is that if the PC is sent for the currently selected board, it mutes as though a new board is selected, so even using just 1 board for a variety of songs requires a work-around. Is it possible to fix this so the board doesn't refresh?

    2) Master midi clock sync, please.

    3) MIDI activation for Tuner, please.

    4) MIDI access to 2nd function on footswitches for tap tempo/bpm sync, please.

Most of these suggestions should enable us to not require changing boards so often and having the hassle of the signal muting.

Great product though. What it does well, it does very well!

So I just got a plethora x3 running in my mesa loop and kicked off my tuner, delay, reverb, nova modulator and harmonizer. I could kick off my compressor, noise gate and drop, but mine are significantly better and in front of chain so keeping them there. Chorus undecided.

Anyway, I really like it and has all the effects I need and more.

Question is on the pitch shifter (Brainwaves). Using the Wham toneprint as an example, no matter what I set the mix at, the level for the pitch shifting is very low, almost like it's in the background. I updated the firmware, and even tried to edit my own toneprint but really didn't know what I was doing there. When the effect is engaged, there's no volume drop, but as you "mash" the second voice is shifted, but I'd like it to be equal level as the dry signal. I can't figure out why it's so weak.

    Any tips or ideas?

    Thanks!

    Mike

PedroRodrigues Hi mike73229, thank you for your post, in this case I would suggest to check
Pedal Platform's video on "A better whammy experience for the PLETHORA X5 & Brainwaves" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QG0TXDK-dP8 . For last please make sure that you throw it before a preamp and it'll do the job. I hope this helps. Thank you

I'm looking for input for settings for my Flashback 2 pedal for Blues Harmonica.

I am just using a Flashback 2 Delay for now. I used to combine it with the MoJo MoJo overdrive pedal, but that seems to add excessive feedback.

I'm trying to achieve that "Bluesy Crunch"

Any advice on Harmonicas and pedals would be appreciated.

    Keep on Jamming!

    Hi,

New here. Can somebody provide me the links and instructions to update my gmajor 2 firmware?

ChrisEdwards1 Hi Jchybris2019, does your G-Major 2 have a S/PDIF I/O? If so can you please check and confirm the current firmware version you are using, if this is on 1.02 you are running the latest version for your model.
      If your G-Major 2 doesn't have a S/PDIF I/O 1.03 is the latest version.

I have Mastering 6000 mk1. I want to buy a stereo reverb license. Will it work on my hardware?

    • ilyapatt
PedroRodrigues Hi ilyapatt Thank you for your post, please consider that the Stereo Mastering License includes three algorithms: MD3, MD4 and BrickWall Limiter 2. It contains Limiter, Optimizer and Stereo Enhancer presets, emulation of the Cat43 for real-time noise removal, and presets to reduce distortion at the end listener. Supported on MK I and MK II units. Please follow the link below to access our TC WEBSTORE where you will be able to acquire this licence https://store.tcelectronic.com/system-6000-licenses/ I hope this helps. Thank you

    Hi all,

I wanted to try out the Brian May Chorus1 toneprint, so I beamed it to the Dreamscape pedal I have. But it didn't do anything. No effect was audible, turning knobs or moving the brightness switch didn't yield any change.

Unfortunately we cannot see the settings in the editor because editing is locked for the artist toneprints. After reading some messages on the internet I downloaded an old toneprint editor version and made the toneprint editable so that I could check it and change the settings.

Speed and Depth knobs aren't linked to anything. The brightness switch is linked to HiCut, but the curve is flat at the bottom, so whatever switch position you chose the HiCut is always 20Hz. And that's why the toneprint doesn't work, you only get the dry signal.

The other settings are in the ballpark of the G-Major 2 settings that can be seen here, but not exactly the same: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMyXtpsabrY

I think hiding the artist toneprint settings away from the users is a bad idea, it's a major hinderance. Not customer friendly at all. Checking why the toneprint doesn't work cost quite a bit of my time. Don't see why this was neccessary.

Anyway, maybe somebody at TC can please double-check the toneprint and - if indeed the HiCut switch settings are wrong - fix them.

    Best regards,

    Seb
