    Hi all

can anybody tell me what Bluetooth protocol wiretap uses with the app? I'm trying to figure out if I can connect my phone to wiretap and Xsonic airstep foot controller at the same time.

When playing a recorded clip via the app, is it playing from the actual pedal unit or has it copied the clip to the app? Reason I ask this is because I would like to control the wiretap pedal via my airstep Bluetooth / midi controller to start backing tracks. If it plays through the app this won't be in my signal chain and hence no backing track through my setup. If it plays via the actual pedal unit then all good. Hope this makes sense!

WilliamR Hello Wes, the file will play from the pedal. The app plays it back by triggering it from the app via Bluetooth. However, I don't think you will be able to control the wiretap pedal over Bluetooth from the air step.

Hi, I've been trying to get my pedal serviced or refunded since the 17th of january. Representative (Matt Smith) has told me that my refund would be processed when I shipped the pedal and then didn't answer with shipping info; I then posted here and was told the refund would go ahead without me shipping it back, and to wait for confirmation, I shouldn't even have had to write again; one month and several replies later, I have not heard back from him. I am extremely tired of dealing with this and cannot understand how Matt could have missed my dozen replies over four different means of communication. Please let me know what is going on with this service ticket.

Hello Kyle, I have not yet heard from Matt. This will soon become a small claims case for failure to honor a warranty.

Bought tuner and used it to tune Les Paul.  Played an E chord and it was way out of tune.  Probably me and not the tuner.  Tried to update software with no luck.  Can you advise?  Thanks Dean

    Needed additions to Plethora X5:

    1. Mojomojo drive

    2. Spark boost

    3. Ditto looper (I know it has the tape looper, but it doesn't work like a Ditto)

I purchased a Clarity M on eBay from a 3rd party vendor. Unfortunately I did not test the unit for a few months after receiving it due to relocating my studio. When i finally plugged the unit in, I noticed the screen blurred and froze after a few minutes. I would have to guess it's a lose chip inside. Can someone recommend a place I can send it to get repaired?

PedroRodrigues Hi Tinmanmac, thank you for your post, to import custom IR content onto your IMPULSE, please see the steps below:
Connect IMPULSE to your computer via a USB and connect a power supply to the DC IN socket.
IMPULSE will appear on your computer as a mass storage device.
For fast and easy IR management, download and open the latest official IMPULSE app from the TC Electronic IMPULSE product web page.
You can use the app to import, export, rename, reorganize and delete IRs on your IMPULSE pedal.
The app will do all of the leg work for you behind the scenes and put the IR into the correct folders
Simply drag and drop IR files into the desired slots.

Supported IR file formats: .uli files (proprietery IMPULSE format)
      .wav files, 16/24/32-bit fixed (PCM)
      .wav files, 32-bit float

      Supported rates: 44.1 kHz
      48 kHz
      96 kHz

If the .wav file has more than one channel, only the first channel will be used for the IR
IR of any length can be imported but 200msec is the maximum loader length.
IR's with length longer than 200msec will be automatically trimmed and have a natural fade out applied by IMPULSE to match 200msec

You can also drag and drop IR files directly into corresponding folders on IMPULSE, but we recommend using the app for the best experience.
I would also suggest checking the official TC Electronic IMPULSE product page for the latest firmware updater:
      https://www.tcelectronic.com/tcelectronic/product?modelCode=P0EBH

      Thank you

    Hiya,

Long time lover and user of TC Electronic goods and fan of John Petrucci. When the two created this downloadable patch, I couldn't wait to try it out.

Starting with a Flashback Mini in 2017, it never worked on that unit. Buying a full sized Flashback and whether "Beaming" it or USB cabling it, I could never use that patch. All other Toneprints worked (at the time) just not the "Mountain Top".

I acquired another full sized Flashback just a day ago. And whether "Beamed" or USB'd, the "Mountain Top" patch will not work. I only hear one of the delays, not two.

I work in a music store and saw a Flashback 4X. Not sure what year it's from, I tried to "Beam" some patches. Two worked, but the "Mountain Top" still didn't. All that is heard is one delay. Not two.

I can see on the TonePrint app, there are two new John Petrucci tones doing pretty much the same thing as the "Mountain Top" but are called "Axe-FX 1" and "Axe-FX 2". Both of which my standard V1 Flashback can not download either of those two, as well as the original "Mountain Top". But my unit can download other Toneprints.

I believe the "Mountian Top" patch needs to be looked at by the Devs and see if an update can be made. Since 2017, and a total of 4 Flashback units, I have never been able to enjoy that patch.

I have updated the TonePrint Editor app on my phone and cpu. I don't know how to update the pedal itself.

I do hope I get some replyies as to why I can not use this patch. But most of all, I hope TC Elcetronics can fix the patch to be used.

    Thanks in advance.

    D.Picetti.

PedroRodrigues Hi Dpicetti77, thank you for your post, I would first suggest updating your FLASHBACK X4 pedal by following the guidance below and then attempt to Beam the selected TONEPRINT.
Preparing the unit for firmware update
      – Download the newest firmware from the “Support” page by following the link below:

      https://www.tcelectronic.com/product?modelCode=P0CKU

      There are updaters:

      – for Microsoft Windows (these are ZIP archives containing the firmware installer) and
      – for OS X (these are disk image files containing the firmware installer).

      – Unplug all cables (including the power supply) from your TC pedal.
      – Connect the pedal to your computer using a USB cable.
      – Press and hold the leftmost footswitch on your TC pedal.
      – Insert the DC power supply plug.
      – The leftmost LED on your pedal should turn green. This indicates that the pedal is ready to receive the software update.
      – Release the footswitch.
      – Your TC pedal will now be recognized as an updatable device

      Applying the firmware update
      – Quit all MIDI-related applications (e.g. your
DAW) on your computer and launch the firmware updater you have downloaded above.
      – In the firmware updater app, select your TC pedal from the drop-down list under the “STEP 1” heading.
      – When the “Update” button under the “STEP 2” heading turns green, click it. The updated firmware will now be transferred to your TC pedal.
Wait for the progress bar to reach 100%. When the update procedure is complete, the pedal will automatically restart.
      Thank you

I am thinking of purchasing a TC Electronic Quintessence harmony pedal, but before I do I was wondering if this pedal would be able to replicate the guitar harmonies in Beatles songs. Specifically "And Your Bird Can Sing" and "Come Together".

I know "And Your Bird Can Sing" is in the key of E and uses mainly 3rds but I believe there are also 4ths and 6ths in it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

OneGreySorrow1 I wouldn't touch it if I were you. It's a great pedal but full of problems, as it seems a lot of the Tone Print pedals are. I've had mine for around 5 months, very little use (home studio and it's not one of those you'd use all the time like a compressor for example) and it's failed - stuck in 'momentary' mode. I've tried to contact customer services and after nearly two weeks, nothing; reading a lot of comments on here it seems the Music Tribe/TC Electronics customer service is actually pretty much non-existent. It's a great pedal, in the short term but personally, I'd get the Boss Harmoniser.

OneGreySorrow1 Hahaha! Like never. I bet the strategy is to delay until the product is out of warranty before claiming "oh, I'm sorry, the product is out of warranty" or, just ignore it. I mean who needs repeat business eh?
