    Our cat knocked a lamp off my desk and right onto my Voicelive Play cracking the glass and shattering the screen inside. I need a replacement screen part. Where can I find a place to order a replacement screen?

    Dear people,

    I have been in possession of a TC Helicon Voice Live Rack for several years now and I am extremely satisfied with it.
    I use the device in live performances and would like to have a second Vocei Live Rack.
    Unfortunately these are no longer made, so I'm looking for a used one.
    Another possibility: what is the best successor to the VLR?
    Can you help me with that?

    I am using a TC Helicon Voice Live 3 Extreme in my band, and it works great, but since I am a keyboard player and I have it situated on the floor under my keyboards, it is often blocked from my view. So, I am trying to find an iPad app, or some other means, to at least be able to see which patch I am on, which buttons are currently active, and which step I am on in multiple step patch, etc.  I need this because I keep making mistakes in thinking I have engaged a button, when in fact I haven't. It is especially bad in songs where I have different steps in the patch and I suddenly realize that I am on the wrong step. Does anyone have any ideas?

      WilliamR Hello, WIlliam from music tribe here. There currently is no such app at the moment. The only app for voice live 3 extreme at this time is voice support 2, which is mainly for updates and preset management. I will pass your suggestion on to our developers.

    I am at the very beginning stages of setting up this voice box and I cannot adjust the mic control setting. It displays as N/A. According to the manual, there are 4 settings. I was able to adjust settings on the other items but not this one. Thank you.

      PedroRodrigues Hi lizcomo, thank you for your post, when you press Setup, the VoiceLive Play enters a menu, which is comprised of 6 pages and controls the general functions of the device.
      Amongst those function you have the Mic Type that allows you to select the type of microphone.
      There are 4 settings:
      DYNAMIC MIC– for dynamic mics (like an SM-58 or OM5)
      CONDENSER MIC – for condenser mics (like a Beta 87A)
      MP-75 MIC - for use with our MP-75 microphone, which has an onboard switch to control various functions of your VoiceLive Play, such as the HIT or LOOP functions. *Mic Control defaults to HIT when MP-75 is selected.
      USB – Digital audio can be passed to the VoiceLive Play via the USB port. You can select USB Left or USB Right, allowing you to send vocals from a DAW, in mono, to the unit.
      It is important to take under account that on Input control you must select Mic Control, that sets the action associated with the Mic-Button.
      There are 4 settings:
      HIT – The mic button controls HIT in any patch that has a HIT function assigned.
      HIT + TALK - Pressing the mic button engages the HIT function. Pressing and HOLDING the mic button engages TALK mode, bypassing all effects. Press again to exit TALK mode.
      PRESET UP – Cycles through the presets, moving forward through the menu.
      LOOP – Activates or De-Activates RECORD/PLAY/O-DUB for Looping. For Looping.
      Once you’ve connected your microphone and selected the Mic Type (Dynamic, Condenser, MP-75), use the Mic Gain Knob to set the input level for your microphone.
      As you increase the level, pay close attention to the LED on the top of the VoiceLive Play. You want the input to light Green.
      It’s OK if the LED sometimes lights Yellow, but it should never turn Red. If it does turn Red, reduce the level. Red means the input is overloading.

    Can a backing track on a vl3x be started with a midi command?

      There can be up to 500 presets loaded into a VoiceLive 3, and it’s possible to navigate between these presets with an external controller sending MIDI Control Change (“CC”) and Program Change (“PC”) messages. The VoiceLive 3 can receive CC and PC messages via MIDI from sources like keyboards, footswitches, DAWs, and more. For the controlling device to send a MIDI message to VL3 it needs to be using the same MIDI channel as the VL3, typically this is channel 1 but you’re welcome to change it. Also make sure you aren’t misusing the MIDI input filters, and ensure that the MIDI input is set to be either “USB” (for the USB-mini input) or “MIDI Ports” (for the 5-pin MIDI input) depending on how you're connecting. These settings can be changed in VL3’s “Setup” menu, on the “MIDI” tab.

      To change Presets via MIDI, first tell the VL3 which Bank to look in, then tell it which Preset in that Bank you want to change to.
      Bank select: To specify the desired bank, issue an LSB Bank select message (CC#32) with a value of 0-3.
      Preset Select: After specifying the Bank, issue a PC Preset select message with a value of 0-127.

      The internal number associated with a Preset isn’t exactly what you see on the VL3’s screen, they’re actually all off by 1. This is because internally the list of Presets actually starts at an index of 0. This means that 0 = Preset #1, 1 = Preset #2, 2 = Preset #3, etc. It’s like your presets are saved from 0-499 but are displayed as 1-500.
      There are 4 Banks in VL3, and each Bank contains 128 Presets. Therefore the Preset selection number that goes to VL3 needs to be between 1 and 128. So for a Preset above 128, you need to subtract the number of the first Preset in the same Bank to get the MIDI Program Change info.
      The 9-digit message for changing to a preset is in the format of:
      MSB LSB PC#
      Or, you can first send a CC#32 of the Bank you’re looking in, then a PC value of the Preset you want.
      Here are some examples:
      Preset #5 would be: 5 - 1 = 4
      000 000 004
      or CC#32 value 0, then PC 4
      Preset #100 would be: 100 - 1 = 99
      000 000 099
      or CC#32 value 0, then PC 99
      Preset #208 would be: 208 - 129 = 79 (because Preset #208 is in Bank 1, which starts at Preset #129)

      Preset 259 would be: 259 - 257 = 2

      or CC#32 value 2, then PC 2
      Preset 322 would be: 322 - 257 = 65

      or CC#32 value 3, then PC 106
      Preset 500 would be: 500 - 385 = 115

      When you try to address a Preset that does not exist (either an empty spot or one outside the 1-500 range), there is no built-in warning system, VL3 just won’t do anything. So if you can see the “MIDI” indication on the VL3 appearing when you send commands, but are not getting the Preset to change, ensure you’re not referencing an empty or non-existent Preset location.

      If that all seems too complicated for you, consider using Steps instead of Presets. Steps are essentially Presets within a Preset, and you can have up to 10 Steps all in the same Preset. If your current Preset contains the Steps you’ll be using, it just takes a single CC message to choose your Step…
      CC 115 = Step
      Value represents Step Number, i.e. 1 = Step 1, 2 = Step 2, etc.
      So sending a CC#115 with a value of 2 will take you to the second Step in your current Preset.

    My mic looper is missing the first beat (if I beat box) as if the switch is set to start recording on the up beat. This isn't an issue I have had with other loopers so I know it's not my technique.

    The recording seems to catch just the second half of the note.

    Any advice???

      PedroRodrigues Hi Ryancg, thank you for your post, it is important that you take under account that the pedal was not designed for beatbox and therefore when it comes to record this type of signal the loop may not operate as standard.
      Nevertheless, you should first confirm that you are using the correct PSU for your pedal that must be a Positive Centre Negative PSU that offers 9V DC so you can correctly perform the Factory Reset.
      When the Factory reset is concluded please proceed and perform a Firmware update.
      To perform a factory reset you must, press and hold the LOOP button for 13 seconds. When the LOOP LED flashes orange and the red LED turns on and off, the reset is complete.

      To update the Ditto Looper on a PC:

      Download the Ditto Looper updater by following the link below:

      Connect your Ditto Looper to your computer via the USB mini b cable.
      Set your Ditto Looper to boot mode by inserting the power cable while holding down the footswitch. The LED will turn green to indicate it is in boot mode and ready for the software update. Then, open the updater that you downloaded in step 1.
      In the Output Device drop-down menu, select Ditto Boot. (Note: on Win XP, it will be listed as USB audio device) After this, click the green update button to start the update.
      When the progress bar reaches 100%, the LED on the pedal will change. The Ditto will reboot automatically once the update is complete. Do not disconnect the USB cable while the update is in progress.


      To update the Ditto Looper on a Mac:

      Download the Ditto Looper updater.
      Connect your Ditto Looper to your computer via the USB mini b cable.
      Set your Ditto Looper to boot mode by inserting the power cable while holding down the footswitch. The LED will turn green to indicate it is in boot mode and ready for the software update. Then, open the updater that you downloaded in step 1.
      Drag the DittoLooperSwUpdater application to your desktop and double click the icon to start the update.
      In the Output Device drop-down menu, select Ditto Boot and press the green update button to continue with the update.
      When the progress bar reaches 100%, the LED on the pedal will change. The Ditto will reboot automatically once the update is complete. Do not disconnect the USB cable while the update is in progress.

    I found out that the USB A to USB mini cable that comes with the "Go Twin" is not the same you find in shops. I am looking to get spare cable but it s hard to find. Any idea or link for me? Thank you for your help.

    Good day I imported a Go Twin. It is advertised to work on all platforms. I cant get Guitar Rack to work on windows or Android. What apps can I use?

      If you click Support at the top of the page, you will be able to submit a spare parts ticket. If the unit is out side of its warranty period then you will be advised where your nearest service partner is, as they should be able to supply the parts for you.
      If the VL3 is still within the warranty period, then please submit a technical support ticket with a detailed description of the issue.

    From the TC-HELICON site, I clicked on the product registration link and was taken to the MUSICTRIBE site.

    The MUSICTRIBE page I landed on had a field for product registration, but that field didn't seem to accept any text.

    Can someone from TC-HELICON please clarify how product registration works?
