      Hey @wavesequence,
Yes indeed that is the latest and last firmware update for the VoiceWorks Plus.  Hope you're still getting some use out of that thing

I was also searching the internet for an update for my trusty old TC-Helicon Voiceworks Plus as my unit is still on Versions 1.01. I cannot find versions 1.2 or 1.21 and wondered if you could point me to a resource or possibly (out of the generosity of your heart) send the update to me. I have spent endless hours trying to find these updates and I just don't understand why the company does not have them posted somewhere.

Please let me know. Thanks for your consideration.

    I have downloaded Voicesupport 2.

The menu items show only half a window, and anywhere there is text, the text is musddled and merged with other text, making commands and info unreadable. Anyone else found this and is there anything I can do?

    Hi ya all!

I wonder if I have a Critical Mass Stomp box behind a HarmonySinger pedal, and what effect it will have. Usually you sing directly into the CM pedal and get a unison choir. Can CM turn a three-part, three-man choir (from the HarmonySinger) into a 3-part mass choir? Or will come out in the end only vocal mud? Or more simple: Can Critical Mass handle harmonized voices or only single ones.

    hopefully Robert

      Hey @Robert_Dusemund,
I just tried running a Harmony Singer 2 into a Critical Mass and I gotta I'm surprised it sounded as good as it did.  I was fully expecting vocal mud but the Critical Mass seems to handle 3-part harmony without a problem, it actually did sound like a choir.  I guess in hindsight it kind of makes sense, since there's no interpretation going on in Critical Mass - it only adds unison and octave voices.  To me the first 4 "Melodic" settings on the Critical Mass sounded best, but that'll probably be subjective.  One tip if you do decide to try this out, have Tone active only on the Harmony Singer and not on the Critical Mass, Tone only needs one instance in a signal chain and it works best at the front of the chain.  Anyways, great idea and I'm impressed with the results.  If you're still on the fence feel free to share some test audio (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and I could record what it sounds like through the two pedals.  Cheers!

      Hey @RonAlonso,
My only suggestions are to please remain patient and also keep an eye on your email's spam/junk folder.  Unfortunately due to a recent move resulting in downtime, our support department is still playing catchup with service requests and have quite the queue to work through - I've heard of some users having to wait a couple weeks for a reply.  So as long as they don't think you're a bot spamming the same request, they will reply to you eventually.  Good luck!

      Hey @FENDERMAN101,
You can get our free desktop application, VoiceSupport 2, and its accompanying manual on our website here.  Connect your VoiceLive to your computer via USB and you'll get access to hundreds of new presets from VoiceSupport's Cloud.  Cheers!

I am sending MIDI messages from my Yamaha MOTIF XF8 Workstation Keyboard to a TC Helicon VoiceLive Rack via MIDI during live performances. I am editing my MIDI sequences in Cubase and downloading them to the MOTIF for for each song. When I start the MOTIF's sequencer to begin playing a song,  MIDI messages, ie: i.e.: CC 0 (BankSelect MSB), CC 32 (BankSelect LSB) and CC 115 (Control 115) are sent to the VoiceLive Rack to select the correct Preset for that song.  What I am finding is that in about 1 in 10 songs, the VoiceLive will select the wrong Preset, which can result in difficulty and embarrassment for the singer. Originally I put the MIDI messages for the VoiceLive at the first beat of the first bar of each sequence, but then I started encountering this problem. So, I've been putting the MIDI messages on the second beat of the first bar with no other MIDI events in that bar to see if that would fix it, however the problem still persists. Has anyone got any suggestions as to how I can ensure that the VoiceLive selects the right patch 100% of the time, instead of 90% of the time? I can email a example midi file which contains a typical guide track for the Voicelive as they appear in the MIDI sequences to somebody if that helps.

      Hey @synthmax,
That sounds very bizzare indeed, I haven't heard of this before.  If you could please share the offending MIDI file by uploading it to a Cloud platform (like Dropbox or Google Drive) I'd be happy to try it out with a VoiceLive Rack here and see if it triggers the wrong preset at times.

      Hello there TCH Spencer,

Thanks for getting back to me. Please find above the Dropbox link for the sample file. The problem is very random. You can send this file to the Voicelive thirty times and it will randomly select the incorrect patch once. My lead vocalist thinks it's end of the world. :\  Looking forward to hearing back about this. Many thanks.

      Hi again @synthmax,
Thanks for sharing your MIDI file!  I was able to import that into Reaper and send it to a VoiceLive Rack via 5-pin MIDI out of my interface.  This is an article I wrote a while ago about changes presets via MIDI on VoiceLive 3, and the same info applies to the VoiceLive Rack, so this is what I'm basing my preset-changing knowledge on.  I inspected your file and it all looks correct to me, sending CC 32 to select your bank, a Program Change to specify a preset, and CC 115 to specify the Step of that preset.  I automated your provided MIDI commands a few dozen times and it always selected preset 259 without fail for me... So I still want to refrain from taking the easy way out and blaming the Motif but I will say I wasn't able to recreate your issue with that file here in my setup.  Is it possible for you to further debug the Motif though by plugging its MIDI output into an interface and monitoring its messages on a computer?  If you use an app like MIDI-OX you can monitor your keyboard's output and know for sure that it's consistently sending the same messages every time.

I also forgot to ask which firmware build your VoiceLive Rack is running?  When you boot it up the splash screen will show you "Build __". I'm currently on build 26 which is the latest firmware.

      Hello there TCH-Spencer,

Thanks for getting back to me about this issue. Yeah, I thought my MIDI files are o.k. too.

Unfortunately there is no build of MIDI-OX for MacOS available. I tried to monitor the MIDI output from the MOTIF on my Mac using MidiPipe, but I wasn’t able to see any messages coming through. This could be something to do with the software configuration of my Mac or the Steinberg UR22mkII that I had the MIDI out plugged into. Either way, I don’t want to spend any more time on that as I am confident that the MOTIF is transmitting the MIDI messages o.k.

I can confirm my Voicelive is running Build Version 1.0.09 Build 26.

Could the problem be that the software or firmware on the VoiceLive is corrupt? Is there a way of reinstalling the firmware? Should I try a Global Reset?

The other thing that I thought might be worth a try is using a brand new MIDI cable between the MOTIF and the VoiceLive. I will give that a shot.

I would appreciate any further thoughts you might have on this matter and my ideas on how to fix this issue.

      Best,
      Grant

    Hi folks,

I was bored to manually prepare the .WAV loop files for transfer to my VoiceLive3. So I developed an app, running on Mac and PC .

    What it does:

    - create , check ,  clean or delete  the VL3_Loops folder on the USB flash stick used for transfer to the VoiceLive ( for Mac users: automatically remove the .DS_Store files )

-automatically rename your .WAV loops whith the choosen pattern SLOT#_TRACK_VOC  or SLOT#_TRACK_GTR

Attached is the main screen screenshot ( Mac version).

So tell me  if you are interested in...

Just checking to see if there's a tweak or hack to make the Perform VEs LEDS less intense. Currently their brightness could interfere with stage light design if the Perform VE is placed on a mic stand by a vocalist. Especially if the stage is meant to go dark, but the unit still keeps shining on a vocalist's face from below - pretty weird

I saw some other model had a hardware update fix for this, is there something similar for the Perform VE?

Hi there - there was a firmware update for the Perform-V which I have, not sure about the VE.

If you haven't already, download VoiceSupport 2 and see if there's a firmware update for your device.

On the Perform-V, when the update is complete, a tap on the 'Set' button then allows you to change the brightness using the central dial.

      Hey @Elden,
Unfortunately it isn't possible to adjust the brightness of the LEDs on Perform-VE.  The other pieces of the Perform series did receive an update to adjust their brightness (with the "Set" button), but Perform-VE's user interface is so overloaded with multifunctional buttons we've run out of places to assign new features and thus didn't add a brightness adjustment for the VE.  Sorry

Hello. I have had a VL3X for 6 months and find it both amazing and so versatile.

I didn’t buy it for and don’t use it for backing tracks ,looping or automation

I bought it for good sound ,vocals with harmony , guitar processing esp body Rez as I use a piezo pickup gtr( but can still get heavy electric gtr sounds),a  sound card fo my digital drums ,—and performance recording.  I have stopped using the USB recording as the machine locks up a couple of times per night if I do. Since  I stopped recording to USB I’ve had no trouble. I Kave a Korg MR 2000s so I  use it for recording instead.

I have attempted to match the adaptive eq with my manual attempt but can’t get close to the adaptive sound      HOWEVER I play harmonica as well and this alters the adaptive tone on my vocal and  for half a verse my vocals is muddy until it comes back to my vocal inspired setting. If Craig is reading this I wonder if it is possible to write into the firmware an adaptive eq lock where once you are happy with the adaptive eq , lock it so the harmonica does not alter this setting.

I have also put a small momentary switch on my guitar so I can operate the hit button from my guitar instead of having to reach for the unit on the table next to me ( as I have to use my feet for the live drums)

It is a inspiring device and the other day I recorded 50 songs in 2 days and then spent a couple of days mastering them and the result is so much more pleasant and professional ( not to mention time saving ) than I have done in the past through multitracking. It is so much fun experimenting with the harmonies

I have included a pic of my “hit” switch on my guitar ( with apologies to Rick Turner)—— this is a must if you can’t use you feet

This is my first post and I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this

    cheers. Allan

Hello AllenRobbins.  Really enjoyed reading your post.  I think you're a @#$%-ing genius with the HIT switch on your guitar.  I'm thinking I'm gonna have to borrow your idea.  Sure beats my idea of duct taping my Switch-6 to my guitar (no picture, thank goodness).  But I'm wondering if I could take the guts out of the Switch-6 case and transplant them into the guitar like you did the single button.  I may have to sacrifice my old learner guitar and Frankenstein surgery it and experiment a bit.  I'll let you know how it goes.  I play harps through my Shure 57 on my VLT2 while playing my accoustic/electric through the guitar side.  Have had a lot of fun with the vocal  effects reacting to the different harmonicas.  Thanks again for the ideas.  Good luck on your journeys.
