I love this pedal. Bought a second one. The second harmony isn't as loud as the first. My three part harmonies just sound like two part. Is this something I can fix or do I need to return this and get a new one? I was hoping to speak with someone about it but here I am having to sign up to a forum. I'm disappointed I can't speak with a product specialist. Lmk.

Pedro Rodrigues Hi Tmn8r1 If you use the Harmony G-XT in mono, the lead vocal will be isolated from the harmony. You will only here the harmony out of the left output and the dry out of the right. The right side is not processed. When harmonies are off, you will hear the lead vocal. Keep in mind there is no physical way to turn off the lead vocal on this unit in this mode, it is not designed to do this. I hope this helps

kiskadar69 Likely you are running your Harmony-G XT in stereo mode, but only using the Left output. In stereo mode the first harmony voice is panned a bit left and the second harmony voice is panned a bit right. The Harmony-G XT doesn’t care if a cable is plugged into one of the audio outputs or not. To correct this, hold down the Voice 1 and Voice 2 buttons so the stereo indicator above the buttons is not illuminated.

kiskadar69 What I described is not included in the Harmony-G XT documentation. However, the TC-Helicon knowledge base mentions it:

    Hi,

i have two questions, i hope someone can help me????

1)is there a possibility to change the eq and compression settings on the vocals on the play acoustic? i know about the settings "normal", "less bright" and so on but i would need to do more advanced changes...if there is no possibility, will there be one in the future via an update or so?

    2) i tried to use the play acoustic as an audio Interface and wanted to record vocals and guitar on seperate tracks in Studio One but it records vocals and guitar always on 1 track so i cannot edit vocals and guitar seperately... is there a possibility to record them on different tracks via the usb output? that would be great...

    thanks in advance, Markus

Pedro Rodrigues Hi Vogsonair the Play Acoustic only allows the EQ types that you have mentioned and at this moment we have no details avialable regarding functions that might be present on new FW releases. In regard to the audio interface the unit allows a Stereo audio input and output via USB at 16 bit resolution with 44.1 or 48 kHz sample rate. I hope this helps.

      • Eq and Compression on Vocals and Recording with Play Acoustic
vogsonair thanks a lot for your answer Pedro...if more functions would be possible with a new fw this would be awsome, the unit really makes a good sound but sometimes the eq types and compressions need to be adjusted a little more...also if it would be possible to record both tracks seperately via usb in the future this would also be awesome because sometimes both tracks need a little bit more editing after recording and so the users could save the use of a seperate audio Interface....otherwise the unit is really a great product!!

When using a mixer, should I plug the Play Acoutic output into the mixer or should the mixer output go to the Play Acoustic?

Hi, I have just purchased a Voicelive Play and the Roomsense menu is stuck with 'unplug aux' message even though there is no aux cable connected to the device.

I've tried performing a factory reset and plugging and unplugging an aux cable to see if this clears the message but this hsan't worked.

Does anyone know how to fix this please?

    Thanks

Nic Jones Hi Jonathan. Could you please confirm what FW version you are using and check the Voice Support 2 application for any updates. I'd also recommend just reflashing the firmware to be safe.

Could you also give me a breif overview of how you have the VL play setup and how it's behaving? For example other connected devices, general setup menu settings etc.

Hi I have a Perform V which works except for being able to beam from my iphone 7+. I can hear the old fax like tone when I try but no blue light indication on the preset. Any ideas?

Nigel Turner Do you know whether the roomsense/built in microphone is working? Are you able to test it? When using your phone, is the end that the loudspeaker is plugged into near the microphone - I am sure you have checked this but just need to confirm. Have you tried different volume levels from your phone, and can you confirm that you are pressing a preset button before beaming. It could be that if the level is to high that the beamed signal is distorting. if you find that the microphone isn't working. then please go to the support tab at the top of the page and submit a service ticket. One of my colleagues will then get back to you. many thanks

Hello everyone.....I'm wondering if anybody knows whether TC Helicon/Baranger has shelved this product.  While other companies create new innovative products this badboy hasn't been upgraded in years.   I have used this pedal since it's inception.  For my Solo Performances I use so many features of this unit and have become to really enjoy its felexibiity.   Ive become somewhat of an expert on its functionality throughout the past five years.   I'd love to see improvements though.

    1) Ability to go battery if need be or as backup.

    2) Larger storing capacity for backing tracking Tracks / Loops

    3) drum Machine built into looper section

    4) Built in Wireless functionality...

    5) Bluetooth functionality

    6) Better Guitar quality sounds

    7) much better transfer rates for backing tracks, sequences and loops.

I do love this product but fear it's been shelved for the purposes of any further developing   And I'm praying no.  Although be a loyal and supportive TC Electronic and TC Helicom owner/user I'm starting to look at other companies products for solutions to make my performances easier and seemless.   This once flagship product needs to keep evolving to become competitive in my opinion.

Robert Deacon The Voicelive 4 is still a product that the development team at TC Helicon would love to make, but it isn't ready for release in the immediate future. That said, they are working on a lot of really cool, innovative products that will release in the very near future

Robert Deacon The team that develops Behringer synths is in Germany while the team which would make Voicelive 4 is based in Canada; they're part of the same company but working on entirely different products. Voicelive 4 isn't delayed because the Voicelive team is working on synths

Hi... I'm using a voice live 2. The global tone button has started sticking and I have to jiggle it around a bit to get it to function. It's weird because it just started and I'm sure I haven't used it enough to wear it out. It's pretty much set and forget. Nothing spilled on the unit etc. Just started randomly. Blew it out with some compressed air. No change. A bit of electronic cleaner. No change. It just doesn't give a solid "click" when I press it, unlike the others. Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Nigel Turner Hi Jeff, it could be that the switch mechanism has gone faulty. I would suggest sending in a repair ticket via the support tab at the top of the page. If the unit is still under warranty I wouldn't go trying to clean it, etc as this could affect the warranty situation.

Hi... My global tone button on my voice live 2 has started sticking. Nothing spilled on it and I really don't mess with it often. Just set and forget. I have to kind press and jiggle to get it to work. Does anyone have any suggestions? I gig fairly frequently so I really don't want to have to send it in.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jeff

Nigel Turner If the unit is under warranty I would advise not trying to repair it, as if you are unable to fix it then this could affect your warranty situation.

I created a Preset (call it #2) to be used as a Step 2/2 on Preset #1. (It was originally a copy of Preset #1 and I made significant Harmony and other settings to it.) I have successfully copied #2 as a step to #1 and all is well. I can also edit and save changes to Step 2/2 in Preset #1. And because I made changes to Step 2/2 in Preset #1 as I was tweaking, it is now a bit different from Preset #2. So Preset #1 with my two Steps is all set.

Here's the question: Can I safely delete Preset #2 (not that it is no longer needed) without affecting Step 2/2 in Preset #1?  I'm afraid to try! I don't want to mess up my Step 2/2 I worked so hard on....

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Pedro Rodrigues Hi Renny Schweiger, yes you can, the factory presets are stored permanently within the device, even if you've overwritten them with custom presets. The custom presets are stored in a different location and applied "over" the factory presets when you save them.

When you delete a factory, or custom preset, leaving the space "blank" within VoiceSupport, the unit automatically re-populates that spot with the factory preset.
You can also use Mix Knob 4 to select the Preset number where the current Preset will be stored.
If you want to save the Preset where it currently is, do not change this value.
If you would like to save the Preset to another location, change “Store To” to another number.
The name of the selected Preset slot will be displayed in the upper part of the screen.
Using Store To is handy when you would like to make several Presets with similar sounds.
You can create a “master” Preset and store it so a few different locations using Store To.
You can then edit those copies further if you wish.

Renny Schweiger Thanks for the reply Pedro. My apologies for not being more clear, but you missed the essence of the question. I only used the generic names Preset "#1" and "#2" to mean two presets in general. I my specific case they are both user presets, not factory presets.
      • Aug 24
    • Renny Schweiger
Renny Schweiger The question still stands -- if I create a (new user) preset (B) and copy it AS A STEP to another user preset (A), can I delete the preset (B) used for the step? Will the preset (A) now with two steps in it remain intact if I overwrite or delete the user preset (B)?
      • Aug 24
    • Renny Schweiger
Pedro Rodrigues Hi Renny Schweiger ,please be aware that on the VL3x copying a preset, whether its to a new user preset or a step in another preset it does not retain any ties to the old preset. It does not act like an alias. So modifying the original will not change the new preset/step.

    • Renny Schweiger
Renny Schweiger Thanks Pedro, it worked. I deleted the no-longer-needed user preset and the Preset with the Step is still intact. Also FYI thsi is on my VL3 (i.e., not a VL3x).

I've got a Voice Live Play and I am super happy with it. However, now I aim to go wireless but I still want to use the stompbox, because I really like it. What would be the best way to go about it? Does anybody have any idea how to do this?

I know it needs power but the fewer cables the better. The ideal situation would be a battery pack and some sort of wireless adapter to both the microphone and the stompbox.

Pedro Rodrigues Hi rolfberg Unfortunately the Voice Live Play was designed to be used connected to a a power source any kind of adapters might cause damages on the unit's PSU, I would strongly advise you to use the unit with in the profile it was designed for on both Microphone and PSU
