    I would like to turn off all the reverb, compression, delay, and other vocal effects as well as guitar effects GLOBALLY. so when i go to a preset, it does not automatically turn on these effedcts when I "hit" , btu if I wanted to have some reverb I could press the reverb button and I would get the reverb for that preset, otherwise there would be no reverb.

    How do I do that?  and when I go to a preset do I turn on the global in the preset to use the global settings?

    I desperately need to turn global key off. I have cycled through the setup menu without finding it. My first day with this unit, all presets are locked on C major. Help!

    Hi TC Helicon Community,

     

    I've hit a block so I'm coming here to seek some help. Has anyone ever had any issues with the vocoder on Perform VE and setting the "middle C" or octave of the MIDI keyboard you're using?

    I'll give a little background... I LOVE this pedal. I've been using it since 2018 and the one I have I bought towards the end of 2019 after my other one broke. I'm very familiar with it, and have successfully ran harmonies using the vocoder before this problem started. Only recently have I had the issue (with different keyboards AND different MIDI cables) that it seems to be picking up only low octave keys from the keyboard. At first I thought it was the type of keyboard I was trying sending multiple MIDI information so I went back to my simple keyboard that has always worked with it and the problem is persisting.

    - I have used VoiceSupport2 to update the firmware to version 2.0 build 76

    - I have tried holding the "set" button and pressing other keys to try to get it to change octaves - it won't

    - I have tried on mono/poly, all the vocoder settings, and using the sampler to play notes and still, all I'm getting is low low MIDI keys being triggered (not what I'm playing)

    I love this pedal so much and don't want to replace it but this issue has really been a thorn in the flow of creating/performing so if anyone has any guidance I would really appreciate it! 

    (Some extra words to help with keyword search): perform-ve, octave settings, vocoder, MIDI keyboard, set button, MIDI problem, MIDI issue, MIDI patch, morph button.

    I am so [email protected]#$ pissed off at this thing right now. I've read the manual in excrutiating detail and CAN NOT record over a previsouly recorded sequence. I have tried everything I can think of. Hit the RECORD button, let it RECORD over the SEQUENCE, hit the STOP button. I go to track view and make sure all the SEQ marks are missing. I"ve tried saving it and not saving but no matter each time I end the recording/Sequence/Backtrack. Then I switch to a new track and right back to the one I was working on and there are the same old SEQ marks that I just saw were deleted when I recorded over them. And can anyome tell me what a category TC-Helicon claims a VL3X is? What a STUPID way of referencing. Why don't they just have VL3X in the product category. Sorry, I'm just really PO right now. Any help would be appreciated.

    When idly playing around with connecting my Play Acoustic to my iPad using AUM as a mixer,I noticed that the PA shows up as a midi source and destination. I had a little wrestle with MidiWrench but couldn't work out exactly what was going on but the PA does send both CC and PC messages when you change the preset and use the HIT. Being able to utilise this to manage presets in iPad apps would be soooo cool. 

    Does anyone have any info on this?

      kiskadar69 I think MIDI CC and PC on Play Acoustic is not officially supported. Try sending the same messages back to Play Acoustic to see if it responds to them.

    Okay, I got that loops and tracks are separate things. But if I have a loop assigned to a footswitch, why can't I select that footswitch from within the track? Will the loop just not play?

      PetGerbil I'm just guessing, as I've only got the VL3 which doesn't have backing tracks...but, I believe you can only have one or the other. Loops or Backing tracks. not both. I assume it would double the machines required processing power to handle it.

    Good afternoon.

    Just FYI, I am new to all this so I am a beginner.  I have a Shure mic, laptop, GoXLR, Sony camera and external speakers.  Even after watching the videos I am still trying to understand how some of the devices fit into the ecosystem.  End goal is to record videos for Youtube.

    I was wandering if anyone knows the best way to connect the external speakers to the GoXLR so that I can control the volume of the external speakers from the GoXLR.  At the moment the speaker volume is controled from my laptop volume buttons.  

    Also, what is the best way to fit the Sony camera into all this?  

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

      WilliamR Hello, You can do what I do. I create two profiles. One profile with just headphones that I use solely for streaming and chatting. That way, you won't have any issues with feedback or echos. And the other profile for speaker playback for just surfing the internet and listening to music without using the mic. You want to turn the mic off if your speakers are on because the problem is, your microphone will pick up whatever is coming out of the speakers.

      One other question if you don't mind. I know the GOXLR only works on Windows. But will it work with ECAMM Live? Because it only operates on Mac. So I wasn't sure if they could work together.

    I had to buy my GoXLR from a amazon UK store. problem is im in AUSTRALIA. not easy to send back if issue.
    I have setup my GoXLR correctly from what I can tell.

    I watched youtubes and a google and followed every step.

    However for some reason the broadcast stream mix is dead. Nothing is hearable in Streamlabs OBS or OBS.

     

    so a quick run down.

    SETUP

    Routing table setup

    Windows audio default devices and music app setup

    Windows audio selection

    OBS & Streamlabs OBS audio setup

    GoXLR audio & mic setup (SHURE SM7B DYNAMIC MIC, Headphones Astro A50)

     

    I have tried everything i can thinnk of but NO sound comes thru the BORADCAST STREAM MIX. in obs u can see and audio visual thru on the bars. so i tried added the mic manual in there an i can see the bars move when i talk. so its not the mic its something to do with the GoXLR broacast Stream MIX....

    NOTE: the other things i have installed are (STREAMDECK, & VOICEMOD) I thought voicemod might be an issued so i completely shut it down and still issue.

    NEED HELP URGENT... !
