    Hey,

Does anyone know if you can turn the reverb on the IP3000 manually instead of using the iPhone app? I went through the menu on the sub and didn't see any options to turn effects on. Maybe I'm overlooking something ?

    Thanks

    Andrew

Alexander Lane I am sure this is possible, but don't have a unit to find the exact button sequence right now. Let me see if I can find out for you!

Apgilbert2 Thanks, Alexander....I did go through the menu but didn't see. I read the instructions and it says that you can do it manually or with the app...I will check the speaker out tonight - maybe I overlooked it.

One great feature of the iQ series is the Ultranet input.  However, if I run my iQ8 speakers via Ultranet and then want to send signal to my subwoofers - they do not seem to have an analog output for that. Given all of the DSP & connection options built in - I'd like to see this option in a Firmware update.  It's handy to be able to run a long distance with CAT5e cables alone - rather than needing to also run XLRs just for subs. (I'm aware that I can buy iQ15B or iQ18B subs and resolve it, but that's not in the budget.)

Paul Vannatto This has been asked for a few times before. The answer has always been that it is not possible with the current DSP.

Trying to find out which cable to buy for the cat5e.... Which gauge? what holds up best for road travel.

Gary Higgins I use both Cat7 and Cat8 without issue, IMO both work especially well for IQ speakers, P16M's and DP48 use mostly because of their great flexibility but also you get superior shielding from EMI and ESD. I use both for some AES50 stage box runs as well.

Joeoverfeltmusic99 Gary that is great... Thank you I just want to be sure I don't get some cheap cable that won't hold up..... What kind do you use?

      • Which Cat5 Cable should I buy for my new Turbosound iq10's?
Gary Higgins Sorry I missed this...I like this brand (link below) a lot, I have bought it a few times. It is really flexible, inexpensive and easy enough to make my own lengths with. Please understand I am NOT going for category 7/8 speed properties here at all, but the shielding properties and flexibility are superior to any Cat5/6. AES50 does not require super fast transmission speed and that is not the point in using cat 7 or 8 here. The cable has individual pair shields, an overall foil shield plus a ground wire underneath the flexible outer cover. I use larger diameter, pass through type shielded cat6 rj45's with 1/8” conductive copper tape to maintain ground/shield continuity and that combo works perfectly for me. I think the diameter of the cable is 7 or 8mm, that’s important so as the entire cable with outer covering/ground wire and copper tape can be pushed well into the rj45 before crimping. The rj45 opening needs to be large enough. If one were to use the rj45's that come molded with it (they do sell shorter pieces right down to a foot in length) they are perfectly fine as is, but if you were to add ethercons you need to trim the boot fairly substantially with a utility knife to get them to fit the ethercon shell. A bit tedious but works just fine, I have done so several times.. If you make your own custom lengths with your own rj45’s, this of course is not an issue at all. And in the case of IQ speakers or P16m’s also not a problem.

One additional note with IQ speakers, they don’t have ethercon connectors so you may want to consider rj45 locks of some type. It’s the only part I don’t like about IQ speakers. Anyway.

We inherited the use of some ip82 and we have also purchased some in order to

balance the system and keep the systems intact. Used as std. upper-mid unit.

The overall impression is a good compromise of enclosure, woofer, crossover and horn

dispersion, but not the tweeter which is a disappointment when compared to the rest

of the system. We therefore have to use DSP correction files in our loudspeaker management

adapted to various venues in order to correct for this. Otherwise, it measures reasonable,

but sound harsh, no distinctive upper end etc. When will this unit be upgraded?

How can I get the service manual for my TFX122M-AN?  I have them for my iq12, iq15b, ip300, and ip1000.

    Thanks,

    Lee

Paul Vannatto Unless you are an approved service depot, the service manuals you already have are not official ones, since the company has a policy of not giving them out.

Lee Wolloff I beg to differ. I downloaded them directly in 2018 from the music tribe / Turbosound documents page. Since they decided to “upgrade” the website you can’t find anything. Even tech support says everything is a mess.

Hello all... I own 2 x ip2000 and 1 ip300. I am looking for specific details of the DSP settings that are provided. What exactly is happening between the various options? (IE: Wall position versus Floor... Live Music versus Speech) What electronic changes are taking place? Does anyone have access to any graphs or written information? best!

I cannot find an archived post in the old forum about this but have seen it mentioned. My IP1000 has a crazy buzz/rattle in a certain low-mid frequency. Once I dial it out it with an EQ it sounds 'empty' with no body. I'm mixing through an MR18 for an acoustic setup. I've tried numerous things to remedy with little success. It's like the sub bass cabinet vibrates at a frequency and it rattles the column at it's mechanical connection. Help, I own two and they both do it. Any suggestions appreciated. I love the units.

Michael Wise William. Help again. I emailed Colton on Tuesday and I haven't heard back from him. We are obviously having email problems. Or he hates me and thinks I'm ugly. Is there a phone number I can call to get this ball rolling faster? I need that speaker for a wedding I'm doing on August 1st. Sorry to bug you with this.

Hello, I tried to update the firmware to 2.2.2 via the Android Turbosound app. The connection between tablet and turbo sound is established (.. handshake ... erasing rom ...) but then the progress bar remains at 0% and the turbo sound is permanently in firmware mode. Unfortunately the firmware file cannot be loaded from the Turbosound homepage (error message on page, seems to be offline). CARE ticket already created, so far no feedback. Ideas why? Otherwise I send everything back to MusicStore, soon I don't feel like it anymore. Maybe someone can send me the firmware as a file and then try the Bluetooth share please. By the way: there are pixel errors in both displays, although the resolution is very low. Why that bad quality?

Patrick Lenuweit Dear Chris, Thank you for sending the firmware file quickly, the firmware upgrade worked perfectly for both speakers without an APP via Bluetooth Share. The speakers are working properly.
