Behringer XR12 for podcasting

I have the Behringer XR12 and was looking forward to being able to use the onboard recorder for my mic inputs. I am intending that have at least 4 mic inputs with the possibility of adding more. I was disappointed to find out my built in recorder only handles 2 channels. I am needing to find a way to record multiple channels. Would it work to hook up a Moniter out to a line in recorder? Also is it possible to record via the remote features? And will it connect to Logic X Pro?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Re: Behringer XR12 for podcasting

Hi Taylor ( @Kindnessfirst ),

Welcome to the community.  Sorry that no one has replied to you until now.  In order to do what is called "multi-track" recording you'll need to use an XR18 which has an 18 x 18 USB audio interface.  The mixer connects to a computer running a DAW for recording and playback.

Hope this helps,

Ken

Thank you. I discovered that shortly after posting.

Is there a way to connect a iphone so a call can be recorded and caller can hear the input from the mics?
