BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UMC22 weird noise?

So because my 3,5mm jacket on my tower didnt function anymore.

I connected my Behringer Interface to my MG12XU.
For reasons i need the music line in a different complete line then my mixer.

My Behringer has a strange background noise when no music is playing.

I installed the ASIO4ALL Drivers v2 on my WIN 10.

But still this background noise is stil present. It's awful!

Is this a general behringer problem?

If further info is needed im here.

Re: BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UMC22 weird noise?

Hi Jay ( @Jayk0b ),

Welcome to the forums.

Can you clarify what you mean by "For reasons i need the music line in a different complete line then my mixer."?

Do you have the Yamaha and your computer connnected to the same mains power?  Common noise problems are ground hum due to a ground loop and common mode noise caused by an one of the audio cables picking up EMI noise due to routing.  Make sure you have all your equipment connected to the same mains power and also shuffle your cables around a bit to see if the noise goes away or changes.

Hope this helps,

Ken

Re: BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UMC22 weird noise?

the "reason" is my live stream.

For what ever reason my 3,5mm Jacket on my PC didnt work anymore, over night there was a really loud disorted noise in the pink 3,5mm.

So i digged out my old UMC 22.

Here is my setup:

SOURCE OF MUSIC: Smartphone >
BluetoothReciever >
hooked to my Yamaha MG12XU with 3,5mm to 6,5 Y Cable >
Output through Monitor OUT R&L Line >
The Y Cable goes into my UMC 22 >
UMC 22 goes in PC via USB, because i needed a workaround for the 3,5mm jacket.

Why? So my Yamaha only outputs ONE Line wo my PC called "Line MG"

To control my music volume for the stream i need in OBS (Openbroadcaster Software) a NEW and standalone line where only the music comes through.

And now i have the problem i hear a noise as well.

I tried "noise reduction" filter in OBS. But the quality of the music gets "ruined".

Re: BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UMC22 weird noise?

Your problem probably is because you are feeding the stereo headphone output from the Yamaha mixer into a mono input jack on the UMC. Try instead plugging a mono jack lead from either one of the Monitor out or Main out jacks in order to feed a proper mono signal into the UMC's line input.
