Behringer PS1 as a dummy load?

Contributor - Level 2
Just a quick question to reassure myself:
Connecting a PS1 to a valve amp presents the correct load to that amp.
But is that also the case if I have no speaker connected to the PS1?
The idea is to only use the XLR output to a sound system (typical in an IEM situation).

Hi Anthonie,

Just wanted to check, but are you asking about the BUGERA PS1 Power Soak products? Behringer doesn't make a PS1 to my knowledge.

If that's the case, then it sounds like you want to run your amplifier without a cabinet attached and are instead trying to feed the signal to your PA system to be amplified, is that right?

Hi Michael,

Yes, it is about the BUGERA PS1 Power Soak.
Sorry, maybe I put this in the wrong place on the forum.
The question is: is it safe for a valve amp to use only the PS1, so no speaker attached to it.
Indeed, only to feed the signal to be amplified to our PA system.
Any input is appreciated.
