Two strange things happend to me tonight

I connect my G-system 4 cable method.

1. Volume on my amp was at 0 (zero) and still is very loud
2. My rack Eq is picking up all kind of noise.I did test my amp loop according to Laird suggestions and it is dead quiet.
I hooked up mu EQ just before FX return and FX send and insert return.This secong method produced more noise and hum.
I use Mogami cables in and out my EQ.Other cables are Domoniator cables.

I would appreciate your input

Re: Two strange things happend to me tonight

It depends on where the volume control on your amp works.
Most likely, you have a ground loop with the EQ.
You need to work in an isolation transformer.

If you have any long cable runs, you need to try to work balanced cable.

Try wiring as follows:
1) Amp FX Send --> G-System Insert Return [TRS-TRS Cable]
2) G-System Out --> ebTech HE2 Ch1 In [TRS-TRS Cable]
3) ebTech HE2 Ch1 Out --> EQ In [TRS-XLR(Female) Cable]
4) EQ Out --> ebTech HE2 Ch2 In [XLR(male)-TRS Cable]
5) ebTech HE2 Ch2 Out --> Amp FX Return [SHORT TS-TS Cable]
