Edits in Mixing Station bug?

Hi everyone

What is happening here?
I have no idea where this is coming from..
I load up my preset and anything I try to edit will cause chaos as you can see.
Even if I don’t actually edit anything..

Some info about my setup:
Android version 9
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10” 2019 (SM-T510)
Mixing Station version 1.0.8 (296)
X32 Rack

I've already written David, but hoping to get this out to more people as it's truly boggling my mind..

Linked is a screen capture of the bug and my preset as well.

Re: Edits in Mixing Station bug?

Hi V ( @VK ),

Welcome to the community.  The video is a little hard to follow.  Is there anyway you can provide a step-by-step to reproduce this?  I've seen something similar on the "first edit" but not every time.

Happy to look at this for you.

Ken

Re: Edits in Mixing Station bug?

Hi Ken

Here's a play-by-playSmiley Happy

1. I open Mixing Station and load my preset/layout

2. Go to edit layout and edit screen

3. Whatever I try to edit (or even just after going into the editor and back out) it will look all "scrambled" as you can see in the end.

4. Meaning I can't add nor change anything in any of the presets/layoutsI have saved, nor if I make a new one. It's like Mixing Station is now just ruined. I even tried deleting the app, re-installing, making a new layout - same thing. Tried reinstall and importing the old layout - same thing.

 Mind boggling I tell you..

@VK

It looks like something in Mixing Station settings got corrupted. These are retained even if you remove and reinstall the app. I would delete the whole folder: /MixingStation/xm32. It will be recreated with default settings when the app is started. This will remove all your settings and custom layouts but should give you a working app so you can create them again.

You can delete the folder using a file manager app. If there isn't already one on your tablet you can find free ones on GooglePlay. I use Xplore which works very well.

Re: Edits in Mixing Station bug?

@RexBeckett thanks for your input, but I have already tried it to no avail.
Uninstalled the app, deleted the Mixing Station folder (like you suggested) and reinstalling.
Same thing:/

@VK

Did Mixing Station look OK after reinstallation? Does it only get messed-up after creating or importing a custom layout?

Re: Edits in Mixing Station bug?

@RexBeckett Yes it looked fine after reinstallation and I can build a new from scratch.

I'm lost to what it is in my (linked) layout that does it.
