M32 stage box

Has anyone used a DL251 stage box with a M32? Just wondering if it would work and if so can you use the aux layer as 8 more xlr inputs?

Re: M32 stage box

0 personal experience with that setup, but from what I've read it can work.  You need to update the firmware of the DL251 to allow it to operate at 48kHz so it can sync with the M32.  The other thing is that the aux in remap can only see the first 6 signals (not 8) in the AES50 stream.  This means you'd only be able to use 38 (not 40) XLR inputs (either all from the DL251, or 32 from the DL251 and 6 local to the M32.)  If going all from the DL251, you'd be using preamps 1-6, not using preamps 7+8 (because the AuxIn Remap can't see them,) then using preamps 9-40.

Hi @Rico3742

We have many users with M32s and DL251 stage boxes. The DL25x and DL15x operate at 48kHz and 96kHz and work great on the M-series platform - and the 96kHz functionality if you have PRO Series or anticipate using an HD96-24 with it. You won't be able to use all eight Aux Returns but you can use 1-6, giving you 38 inputs from the DL251.
