I just bought three new Sennheiser E835 mics. I was using Shure SM58 prior to the new purchase. Is there anything special or peculiar to this mic I should know about? I know with the Shure SM58 I was advised to pull the EQ curve down around the 200-250hz range. Just wondering if anyone had any tips for this particular mic?
Thanks for any help.
I have 5 of these mics and used them a lot with the X32. Recently I've switched over to the Apex 515 condensers. For the most part I just set the low cut at about 130 hz, then ring out per monitors and adjust per inputs (vocals, etc.).
I've used these mics at a couple of gig and people are telling me that the vovals seem much clearer with these mics.
I would agree, if you are comparing them to the SM58. Of all of the mics I have, not one of them is an SM58.
