USB Card Cable

Maybe this has been covered before?

I have just tried a whole bunch of different USB cable to record and playback.
Some of the results are as expected but some where not.

The 4 shorter heavy duty see through screened USB cables where fine.
2 cables recorded fine, but during card playback, intermittent digital glitches.
1 cable would not record and showed all card inputs as full input digital breakup noise (audio could just be heard).
1 cable could not see the X32 so no recording or playback, but worked fine for printing.
1 USB extension would not work with any of the good cables.
All the above cables work fine with printing.

Maybe no surprise, but it just shows, use a good quality USB cable.

If you get good recordings but poor playback the your cable is marginal.

Hope it helps someone out there Smiley Tongue

Re: USB Card Cable

I'll confirm, the cable matters. The first cable I used gave consistent glitches in the recording. The second was fine. Unfortunately, I could not tell the cables apart. I just leave the one that works permanently connected to the board.
