Hello,

Just received my XR18 and I am trying to test capturing the USB Outputs to my PC DAW. Need Help.

Do I need windows drivers? My PC tells me I am plugging an unrecognized device in.

Thank you

Re: XR18 USB Recording

You probably don't need any driver with a mac.

My guess is that it uses the same usb chipset as the x32-rack. You can try the driver for the x32-rack and see if it is compatible.

I've asked the developers for some feedback...

Re: XR18 USB Recording

Dear Rob,

Yes, a driver is necessary for PC and can be found under the Downloads tab on the product's webpage on our site. All downloads available currently are there, and we'll be posting updates as they come off the line, so to speak!

Re: XR18 USB Recording

Whoops, neither can I! Strange, I thought I saw it earlier. Best to contact CARE then, which you can do at CARE@music-group.com or by phone at +1-702-800-8290 (US) or +44 1562 732290 (UK). I could be wrong about a driver being necessary for PC, but if you're having issues, CARE would probably be the best next step.

I edited my response above. Try the x32-rack driver and see if that one is compatible with the x-air.

Re: XR18 USB Recording

When I try the x32 usb driver, the driver install gets to the point where it says " plug in and turn on your device" I do thatm but it doesn't detect anything so its just an endless loop at that point.. So my only choice is to cancel which makes the install fail.

Re: XR18 USB Recording

Thank you for this thread. I too have been trying to find a driver that allows my new XR18 to be recognized for recording. This is crazy. It seemed like a miracle that I was able to buy my mixer and now I can't use all the features because the "driver" hasn't been posted? Come on Behringer, you gotta be kidding! Please, someone who works for them, PLEASE escalate the situation so that we can get our XR18 mixers recording! This was the main reason I bought it.
