Tannoy Studio Feature - Dave's Room Studio
#Tannoy Studio Feature
Dave’s Room recording studio was originally built in 1970, a time when recording studios balanced acoustics and beautiful aesthetics. The studio formerly known as Mama Jo’s, had a roster of artists and producers that reads like a “Who’s Who” of rock, jazz, pop, and rhythm & blues talent and was considered one of the top studios in Los Angeles.
When the original owners moved on, it was abandoned for a number of years until November of 2006, when David Bianco rediscovered this lovely room.
Dave who sadly passed away in 2018 was a Grammy award-winning producer, engineer and mixer who’s credits include Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Lucinda Williams, The Jayhawks, Teenage Fanclub, AC/DC.
After their father’s death, James and Jesse Bianco asked a few of Dave’s close friends if they would be willing and able to keep Dave’s Room running
Owning a studio in the 21st century is a daunting and potentially risky endeavour, but their love of Dave’s Room and their desire to sustain Dave Bianco’s legacy convinced Paul Fig and David Spreng that it was worth the effort.
We think you will agree Dave’s Room is a beautiful place to create music. More recent clients include Alice In chains, The Lost Weekend, KISS and Tool
There really is no substitute for Tannoy. Trusted by music creatives around the world, installed in the world's best venues and locations, perfect for listening at home.
