Mixing Station X Air

Mixing Station will be available for the X Air series mixers.
The app will be available for beta testing starting now.
The beta version does not support the XR12 mixer yet. The XR16, XR18/X18 are supported.

Also some features are still missing, but I’m working on it.

Dave --

What is the app?

Will it be available for iOS and Android?

Thanks, John

Re: Mixing Station X Air

Mixing Station was originally (it has evolved over time) an unofficial app for Android control of X32 as there was/is no official one. When Behringer launched X AIR they used David (the author) to create the official Android app so it is heavily based on Mixing Station.

Now David has obviously been freed from his ties and can independently release his own version - this is gonna be much more feature rich, updates and fixes will be quick and we will all benefit form development that happens for X32 where it's compatible with X AIR.

Exciting!

As far as I know, David only does Android development, not iOS.

Re: Mixing Station X Air

Wonderful Dave. At last I can mix on my various tablets (and even my phone) with decent length faders. Smiley Very Happy

John, knowing David's previous work I suspect that it is Android only. He, like quite a few of us, is not a iOS user. Smiley Wink

Re: Mixing Station X Air

This is great, like christmas in July.
Besides David, I feel a big thank you to Behringer also for allowing this!!!

David, maybe a bit early, but will there also be a paid version that has all the extra goodies build-in, in the not too distant future?

Re: Mixing Station X Air

Hi David,

Thanks for all the hard work. Just a suggestion I have for a feature: Have the fader buttons change shape and or color when you have Sends on Fader selected. I can't tell you how many times I have screwed up my monitor mix by forget to de-select the SOF and not noticing until its too late.

I would suggest having the fader buttons change to a round shape to resemble an aux send knob on an analogue board. This way it would be really obvious when we reach down for a fader we will see we are not in the normal mixing view mode. Or if changing shape is difficult maybe just have the fader controls flash?
