No drivers for Windows - no recording

Hi guys, Hari from Croatia, Europe, I need your help.

I got my Xr 18 two days ago, along with a bunch of new stuff, including a new HP Omen computer with Windows 10.

All with one goal, recording my band by my self. I know something about DAW recording, I used Ableton for that before, but usualy with less complex machinery then this.

My first and MAJOR problem is that I can't download Windows Driver 4.38 from the official website ( https://www.musictri.be/Categories/Behringer/Mixers/Digital-Mixers/X18/p/P0AWZ/downloads ).

It shows me "404 Not Found" message. Help please!!

Tried installing ASIO4ALL drivers but still my signal, when I plug in an electrical guitar into Hi-Z input on the mixer, 1 or 2, is like - 30 db.

Tried installing Pro tools, same thing. DAW does find my mixer but recording does not work.

Sample rate 48 000, controlling the mixer thru tablet, hooked USB from mixer to PC. Ethernet, and PC App don't help either.

Please don't tell me that Xr 18 works only with Mac or Windows systems older then 10, 'cause I will shoot myself!

Thank you in advance!

Re: No drivers for Windows - no recording

Hi Hari,

Welcome to the forum. The 4.38 drivers are a mistake. Use these 4.11 drivers https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxPT1dI9ZImeekpEcG1xNDMzSUk/view?usp=sharing

:edit: It was reported below that this link didn't work correctly. I've regenerated the shareable link

Re: No drivers for Windows - no recording

Paul is right, it's 4.11 and it works perfectly. I believe this to be the most up to date driver for both the XR and MR18. I happened to be looking for drivers for my X-Live card this am and discovered that it uses the 4.38 driver...or at least it has the same number 4.38. I believe it may have gotten posted for the XR in error.

Hi Paul. I can't use this link it just generates an HTML file on my download page.

That is odd Phil. I just tried it and it opened up correctly and provided a download icon. It is a link to a zip file on my Google drive. I regenerated a shareable link. Hopefully that will work better.

Re: No drivers for Windows - no recording

Since Behringer uses Thesycon USB Audio drivers for Windows for several of their products and the UMC drivers just went to 4.38, this could either be a mistake or could be that the link got updated before the actual files got pushed to the CDN site. It does not, however, explain the broken page for the firmware.

Wow. Will you look at that. The drivers for the XAIR are now at 4.38.
