Recording problem

I just purchased a Behringer Xenyx X1832usb mixer. I want to play a backing track on track 1 in Cubase 9 and record voice on track 2. I want to be able to listen to both tracks through headphones with no sound coming from speakers. Can you suggest a setup for this?

Martin Burke

Re: Recording problem

Hi martin

Thought id give this a guess as im a little familier with this and would rather hazard this but if someone help has more expertise on this matter please jump in

If you go into cubase and look for audio input/output busses

To see how many you have you should then be able to add and assign to the control room mix

In the control room obviously

If there isnt any extra busses then this isnt possible

Im not in front of cubase to give you exact path but i can if you are still stuck

 Hope this helps

Re: Recording problem

I missed a stage

You then create a track and either assign its input and output or enable it

For monitoring on thus selected control room mix bus

This is a bit sketchy i know but havnt actually done this in ages
