Update X AIR EDIT v1.1 Released

Hello everyone,

As Jan announced this morning and some of you have already begun to realize by checking the Behringer website that we have officially released a new version of X AIR EDiT for Windows/Mac/Linux on this morning. See below for the official release notes.

BEHRINGER X AIR EDIT Application Version 1.1 for X AIR Digital Mixer Series:

BEHRINGER's X AIR EDIT version 1.1 software app provides full control over all mixing, processing and effects functions of X AIR X18, XR18, XR16 and XR12 digital mixers right from your Windows, Mac and Linux PCs. The new main screen scaling function allows convenient resizing of the application, taking modern high-resolution displays up to 4k into account. Along with a number of small fixes and improvements, version 1.1 provides copy/paste scope selection, Solo and Select preferences and global bus-send changes.

The X AIR EDIT user interface is optimized for touch-panel operation and provides simple, intuitive access to expert-level editing for mixing 18 input channels to 12 buses, including 4 internal stereo effects processors – all featuring the highly acclaimed BEHRINGER X32 audio processing engine.

The X AIR app provides the mobility to go where you need to get the most out of your system, enabling you to adjust your house mix from any seat or fine-tune monitor mixes from on-stage. X AIR EDIT is extremely easy to configure – just select the X AIR mixer's network and link the device of your choice. Upon opening the app's Setup/Connect page, all connected X AIR mixers will show up as available devices. Double-click your mixer's name or IP address, and the app instantly connects and synchronizes all parameters.

X AIR EDIT can even be used in offline mode, allowing you to prepare scenes or complete shows – with or without your X AIR series mixer. Editing in offline mode is convenient, and allows you to experience the unprecedented flexibility and professional features that X AIR brings to the world of ultra-compact mixing.

Keep trying. Had some issues with my MacBook Pro. Try going too big then trying the auto fit features over and over. Eventually you may find one that fits.

Sorry, but i want to double klick on top of the window and then i expect that the application will resize correctly to full screen depending on my device. this is how application behaves

Re: Update X AIR EDIT v1.1 Released

I know it doesn't fit perfectly but when I maximise the app window and then press fit to height it's a lot better than what we had before.

pps: Just tested the resize functionality on my 10.1 Windows 8.1 tablet and it simply does not work for me but make your own experience. I could not find a resize solution which fits correctly on my screen. Sorry to say, this is useless.

Richy,

Try scaling the window size to the desired window size and then press the "Fit Height" button from the resize selection menu. Different screens will require specific screen settings of the App and I've personally found this option works the best for me so far. As for the iPad and Android apps we will continue to improve them as we have been doing with the X AIR EDIT software app.

Thanks Michael, appreciate your help. Looking forward for new updates and i still love the X AIR. But i have the feeling, that the development of the apps and programs needs to improve. Resizing an application window seamless and automatic is state of the art. Could you explain the background why behringer choose this kind of implementation with buttons "fit height"/"fit width"? Never have seen this in any other application so far.

How about we get the product to a point where it works as advertised before we do any evolving? That would be so nice. I mean, after all, it would have been against the law for me to have written you a check and then withheld payment until you made your product work the way it was supposed to.

These are the advertised features on the product main page and as far as I can see all bullet points are as advertised and as far as I can read I can't find anything that doesn't work as advertised on that product page.

I'm finding neither the fit height or fit width buttons do anything on either my windows or mac machines. They remain lighter colored where the other buttons above them do not, When I hit any of the standard, 4k etc buttons the screen changes size but does not fit the screen correctly for any? After hitting "fit" buttons nothing happens either. Is there some key combo I should use? Or these are not working period?

Same here with my Mac Book Pro, and Surface Pro 3 12" tablet. The fit buttons seem to be 'greyed' out and do nothing.

You need to grab the window and size it to to the needed size. When that is done and you click fit to height/width the window will size itself to the window size you just did.

As someone else mentioned, double click on the taskbar to make it fullscreen, then try the fit height/width, depending on your monitor needs...

In the PDF with version 1.1 there is a screen shot of a USB recorder screen, but I can't figure out how to get to it. Is this just for the 2 track mode?
