X-Touch - Logic Pro X - "Single" mode on mixer

I don't think this is a normal view of things, but it is for me.

I have track stacks, summing, for things like DRUMS, VOX, what have you. I arrange them such that the "Arrange" window as well as the mixer has things in order like VOX, v1, v2, v3... where I can collapse VOX and only deal with the plugins and faders on the bus.

That's nice. I like it.

When I am working in the mixer in Logic I often have the tracks in the top of the window with the mixer in the bottom of the window. The "bus" for VOX is selected. If I click on the "Single" setting in the mixer view I get all the tracks and busses in the bottom of the window, including the outputs...

VOX, v1, v2, v3, MIXBUS, METERS, Stereo Out

or some such - the full routing from a VOX channel all the way out. Marvelous.

The X-Touch shows me a completely blank display - no tracks - nothing.
Logic shows me the "folder" with all of the tracks, the busses, the outputs.

Am I missing something? Would an MCU show the same set of mixer channels?

I will answer my own question

the X-Touch works perfectly well in the case that I described. I am having a long, serious, detailed investigation to how the Mackie Control works with Logic. Much, much, much to consider.

In Logic "Arrange" window, Mixer visible.

When 'Tracks' is selected in the mixer view the X-Touch displays the first 8 tracks. In my case all are summing track stacks - the AUX channel is visible.

Select BGVOX - all is well.

Select 'Single' in the mixer view. "Global View" button starts flashing. All of the channels shown in the mixer window appear on the X-Touch.

This is exactly what I wanted.

Pressing the "Global View" button switches the mixer to 'All' view.
Press and hold "Shift" then "Global View" switches the mixer to 'Tracks' view.
Press and hold "Option" then "Global View" switches the mixer to 'Single' view.

"Control" and "CMD/ALT" have no effect - the mixer view switches to 'All' view.

To return to 'Arrange' view press "Shift"+"Global View"

How looking at AUX channels that are arranged in numerical order is useful eludes me at the moment.
