Re: Constructive new Forum feedback

Did you hit save after changing settings? Mine is no longer doing that, I clicked on this thread and your post came up first (as I would also want it as it was the newest) I also see the latest poster's name from the forum list when at the General area, I went to Producers/General and a list of posters showed with you at the top and the time.

Re: Constructive new Forum feedback

OMG, now they upped the number of "Tribes" to 37. Most of them empty. my smart phone can only show two of the stupid entry point stock photos at a time. Makes it even more impossible to find nothing here. It's getting worse, not better...

Re: Constructive new Forum feedback

Sorry, forgot to be constructive
Please, reduce the number of main entry points in the "Engage section". Only use meaningful sections. If you want to ask, answer or monitor questions for a specific device (family) it doesn't make sense to differentiate between use in a hotel, a cruise ship, worship, nightlife etc.  Keep it simple!

Re: Constructive new Forum feedback

Constructive new Forum feedback??

I agree with everyone.....

Product catagories with fixed names/tags are needed.

I would love to add tags to other people's post to make them more searchable.

I can, however, reply and add tags to my reply.

For example: I saw a rambling post about a sampler. Near the end they finally mentioned GoXLR. I'm not interested in this product but I've already wasted a few minutes to decipher the question.

Should I reply with: "Added TAGS" and add the Tag GoXLR.

Or is there a solution to this mess forthcoming?

I think the operative word here is "Constructive" feedback.

I'm sorry for not being overly constructive but I fail to see how this mess can become a useful tool for users of Music Group products. The site is organised as if the intention is to share marketing information with distributors and resellers. That would make the market-segment-oriented organisation of information perfectly reasonable. As a product-user I need to communicate with other users of said procuct and don't care at all what market likeminded users operate in. A technical tip related to a product is equally valuable regardless of whether the author is a musician, producer, working in a hotel, casino, cruiseliner or a church. Was there even a single person with experience from product-support involved in the decision to ditch the old forums for this thing?  A couple decades ago I worked in a company where the marketing department called the shots and implemented a similarly marketing-oriented tool for tech support. That didn't end well.

Re: Constructive new Forum feedback

Hi all

This forum must be organised by product too as others have said...

And I'm wondering how subscriptions can come back...

Best luck

Re: Constructive new Forum feedback

For anyone who may be interested, I finally found out how to alter the forum view to make it a bit more 'linear'  and about which we had discussed here briefly a few weeks ago. I must have done it initially by mistake some way, somehow. I say this because I have been looking for the spot that did it for a very long time and coming up totally empty. I PM'd a forum person here (Thanks Benson) and finally got an answer that is at least partially correct. I can add some info as to WHERE it can be done from, the only spot so far I have found. Anyway to get the same view that was in my screenshot a few weeks back. Point your mouse at the letter icon top right side (PM icon) double click it and when the page opens, to the far right you will see the 3 vertical dots (Options menu). Pointing there brings a drop down menu, at the very bottom is "Turn on batch processing" That's the trick. If you don't like it, go back and choose 'turn off etc. That batch processing option is supposed to be in other drop down option menu's too, but I have not found anywhere else that it exists besides the above. FWIW.

Re: Constructive new Forum feedback

Hello!
I agree: This forum must be organised by product too as others have said...
I don't like to mess around with searching and find a lot of posts with no reference to my needs.
Straight to the product and the collumn I need! Not as confusing and time-consuming as it is at the time.

Re: Constructive new Forum feedback

So, I came back here as I received an email telling me something about this thread being moved.  No idea where it was moved from, or where it's been moved to.  Having taken a quick look round, it would appear that this place is even more confusing than it was previously - clearly no place to seek/share product information productively.  A few people may struggle through and achieve some posting, but it's going to be a rather small "tribe", I'm guessing.

What a royal fu-ck up - and so sad...

Re: Constructive new Forum feedback

So Benson has moved this thread to the "Suggest" section? May I suggest that you do *not* move a feedback thread to a place that can not be found by anyone, Benson?
What is this "Suggest" thing? Where can you enter it? Where does it "live"? There's no entry point, no link to it on the community starting page? It's absolutey undiscoverable! This just adds to the complete insanity of this "Community" that is already unbelievably crazy! And it only gets worse, and worse, and worse...
