Any red flags? Two bands, two x32r/s16 monitor rigs, one x32c FOH...

We have an X32c at FOH, and two bands with X32/S16 monitor rigs that we'd love to not disassemble.  Each band will guest on the other's set with limited instrumentation (<6 inputs, so Aux In Remap looks like the move).  Looks to me like this should work, but won't have much time to test.  Anyone see red flags?  Loss of sync / cable path length (150’ between FOH and MON)?  Picking 38 of 64 available channels at any one time with the User routing.  FOH X32 will be master clock.

FOH [A] -> X32R(1) [A]
FOH [B] -> X32R(2) [A]

X32R(1) [B] -> S16(1) [A]
X32R(2) [B] -> S16(2) [B]

FOH CONSOLE ROUTING -
BAND A FOH SCENE:
INPUTS 1-32 = AES50A 1-32
AUX IN REMAP = USER IN 1-6
USER IN 1-6 = (AES50B 14, 16, 23, 29, ETC)

BAND B FOH SCENE:
INPUTS 1-32 = AES50B 1-32
AUX IN REMAP = USER IN 1-6
USER IN 1-6 = (AES50A 11, 12, 13, 14, 21, ETC)

And if that works… do a mix-minus of the “guest” inputs back to each band’s monitor console.  It'll add a few ms of latency, but I suspect it's better than not hearing each other.
Group 1-2 = mix of Band A’s FOH channels
Group 3-4 = mix of Band B’s FOH channels
FOH Console Outputs 9-12 = FOH Group 1-4
FOH AES50A OUT 1-8 = OUT 9-16
FOH AES50B OUT 1-8 = OUT 9-16

MON X32R(1) AUX IN REMAP AES50A 1-4
MON X32R(2) AUX IN REMAP AES50A 1-4

Hi Doug @jdougross 

Welcome to the forum. Very ingeneous way of routing. On the surface it looks pretty good. What is missing is how you are routing the outputs for FOH tops and subs, since they will have to go through one (or both) band's X32/S16 - or are you going to do it the old way from FOH outputs?

 

One thing I did notice was that your User IN (AES50B 14, 16, 23, 29, ETC and AES50A 11, 12, 13, 14, 21, ETC) brings in 4 and 5 inputs (respectively). But the Aux In Remap on both X32 MON is only the first 4 of those inputs.

- FOH drive lines from FOH console, think that's the way that makes sense here.

- Was trying to have each Monitor console's Aux-in remap be 4 channels from the shared FOH desk (band A L/R on 1-2, band b L/R on 3-4).  The 5-channel remap would be on the FOH console - where the FOH Aux in remap is the block of 6 guest channels from whichever monitor console isn't primary.

If the monitor console is at stage location and FOH console is 150' into the audience, it would be a lot less cable if the FOH speakers could connect at stage location. This is where the Wing would have an advantage with the third AES50 port as well as the new StageConnect (with a new stagebox called DL8).

But if the purpose of those feeds are to be transferred to the other band, the end result is only 4 channels. 

 

As I mentioned, that setup has quite an ingenious routing that looks to me that it would work. Let us know after you have tried it.
