Blue screen of death on computer

I just (a couple of days ago) downloaded VoiceSupport 2 to use with my TC-HELICON Voicelive 3 and I had the devil of a job getting it to work after the first use, which was alright. After that, I kept getting the Blue Screen of Death on the computer when I tried to use VoiceSupport 2. I tried every way I could to get it to work and, after a patient (and very trying) couple of hours, I think I've stumbled on the solution. As long as I get the computer, and VoiceSupport 2 up and running BEFORE I connect the VoiceLive 3, it seems to work, but I'm not holding my breath! Has anyone else had this problem? I'm running Windows 7 Professional.
