Hey guys, we are looking at using IEM app with Behringer X32. Which would you recommend MX-Q or M32-Q (I personally think M32-Q looks better), and how many iPhone or android devices can be connected at one time? Cheers Col
@Col M32 Q works pretty well. My vote. It's easier to have band members use and keep off the main mixer level. What devices are being used? I use Mixing station on my iPhone now ever since it was ported to work with apple. Although I have not done so, I think you can restrict access to it also. For more casual use M32 Q is probably simpler and easy to use for most people. I have not tried MX-Q so I can't really comment. The limit is pretty hefty, over 5 at least, I sort of recall 11 for some reason?
Cheers Gary, it'll be a week Sunday before we try it fully. We used one iPhone as a quick function test. I suspect we'll use iPhone, iPad and possibly Samsung. I'll post how we get on. 👍🏽
Apps that can control the X/M32 mixer "subscribe" to updates from the mixer. I seems to recall (I'll do some research and find the source) that you can have up to 10 devices subscribed at one time. I know I've used eight and didn't have any problems.
EDIT: I personally like Mixing Station for Android or IOS.
Hope this helps,
MX-Q is the replacement for M32-Q. It's supposed to be better with new versions of iOS. See this thread https://community.musictribe.com/t5/Recording/MX-Q-1-0-Personal-Monitoring-iPhone-app/m-p/278211#M53...
