Well, sorry gentlemen (and ladies) if my comments seem a little over the top. But it's after 2am where I'm at, and I've been trying to correct my PoCo problems for well over 12 hours now - and it's still not fixed. So I think I've earned my right to b*tch and vent over this debacle. Look at this way - my trust in TC Electronic as a premium software and hardware developer has cost me a days work and a good night's sleep - and I still have to figure out how I'm going to deal with this unresolved mess in the morning. I know - boo hoo. I'm sorry you didn't get to download and install the update but I deeply resent the experience TC has put me through today. I'd gladly trade places with you at the moment. EDIT: FWIW I've sent in 4 crash logs in less than 24 hours so far - I'm trying to be as helpful as I can, but my PoCo system is basically offline. And I still can't get it to work they way it did before I tried the 3.0 update. So how exactly should I feel at this point?

My roll back to v 2.2.1.4 has led to all new problems. It's been a total disaster. So I tried rolling back to 2.0.1.23, the last version that truly worked flawlessly on my system - and I'm still experiencing these same, "all new problems!" I don't know if I'm going to be able to get my PoCo FW to ever run like it used to (before I ran the v 3.oops update) at this point. Pardon me for venting but I'm really effing pissed. Outraged even. Personally - I don't think I'll ever be able to trust another TC Electronic PowerCore update again. Not only should I NEVER have run the 3.0 update - I probably shouldn't have ever bought this POS in the first place. Unless an amazingly swift and effective "just effing fix it" release happens soon, I too, am seriously considering leaving 'club powercore' forever. There' are plenty of viable competitors to TC and Powercore. I can only take so much abuse.

Glad to hear 3.0 is working fine for some of you. TC support indicated they couldn't replicate any of the problems I reported. They must have found something that needed fixing or they wouldn't have pulled it down so quickly. Oh well - clearly whatever it is they're on it.

I think it's a good thing they pulled the 3.0.0.12 update off their website - it's not ready for prime time at all. Not on my rig at least. It runs so badly I'm half wondering if TC released the update just to get us to shut up about it until it's really ready. If that's the case - it's working. Put this bun back in the oven and don't take it out until it's ready!! :) LOL I've sent 3 crash logs to TC today and I was never able to get this update to work with any kind of stability. I tried installing it a total of 3 times (I uninstalled it twice as per tech support instructions) without any success. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't very frustrated - I'm fairly pissed off TBH. But I guess if we really want to get the most out of this product it makes sense to try to work together as a community and send these crash reports, as they occur, to TC and help them help us. I'm rolling back to 2.2 for now. I hope I can actually roll back without any problems.

I just installed 3.0.0.12 - check my signature for my setup particulars. I'm going through all my TC Plugs. So Far I'm getting a consistent freeze & crash when I load Filtroid. I've already opened up a ticket on this at TC support and sent them a crash log of the incident. Anyway - I knew it was somewhat risky to do this update as my system has been very stable for a long while now. But I'm also at a sort of slow period for my work so I thought I'd give 3.0 a whilrl. I may try rolling back to my last version if I run into much more weirdness. :(

Big Harpe wrote: Dear TC, . . . Even if you released a beta version we'd be happy . . . . They did release a 2.5x beta you know. But still, I've been leery of installing it. Too many mixed reports on it for me to risk it. Though I'm with you in wondering, "Where is the PoCo 3.0 software?" First it was announced for November - then it got pushed back to December . . . . are we headed for another delay to Jaunary? Or would it be safer to just say, "Sometime in the first quarter of '08?" Ready when you are. ;)

I have Logic 8 installed but I'm still working in Logic 7.2.3. I don't know why I upgraded to L8 TBH. I'll eventually move over to it sometime in '08. Imagine that.
