It's important here to think of a streamer and content creators workflow. GoXLR gets rid of a lot of the unnecessary annoyances with traditional audio engineering while keeping the important stuff for streamers - who aren't audio engineers and don't want to be - to be able to take advantage of and sound great. We consulted with the world's biggest streamers and YouTubers when creating GoXLR and giving unity overhead was never something streamers asked for - even when asked directly. Your microphone is your relative sound ceiling when podcasting and streaming and setting your absolute volume this way ensures you keep that proper balance. We understand that this may not be the perfect solution for everybody, but the amount of confusion that comes from your suggestion combined with the very limited use case means we wont be implementing this suggestion and it certainly is not a bug. As an audio engineer for 40ish years, we're sure your can work around it. However, for the streamers this product was designed for, we're less confident that it's helpful or necessary.

Hey there, Make sure that your "Samples" path in the System tab is drawn correctly to your Documents > GoXLR > Samples folder. If that doesn't resolve the issue, join our Discord and we can help from there: discord.me/helicongaming

Hey there! There's quite a few things we'd like to check. We actually have a dedicated space in Discord where we can work instananeously through text chat. If you don't have it already, it's free and something you can use in your browser. You can join at this link: discord.me/helicongaming - this would probably be the fastest way to help. However, here are some things to give you to try in the meantime and some follow up questions: Your microphone and heapdhones need to be plugged directly into GoXLR. Make sure you've got a 3.5mm cable and a ground loop isolator so there's no fuzz or hiss and the audio comes through clear. I know you've said that you've watched several videos - but we discuss all this with this video. Your headphones need to go straight from the 3.5mm output on your headphones into the GoXLR. I can't find if you can do this through the DAC on turtlebeach's website, but we can verify that with you in the Discord as well. In Streamlabs OBS, you should only have 1 input (Mic/Aux Device), and no outputs (Desktop Audio Devices). GoXLR handles all of those audio devices and mixes them for you. I'm fairly sure the noise you're hearing is ground noise from the Blue Yeti by not having a ground loop isolator. Hope to see you in Discord! John

Hey there! Hop into our Discord - discord.me/helicongaming if the following steps don't help. 1. Verify that you've set the proper inputs and outputs and that your Routing Table is set up properly. 2. Power cycle the unit and your computer. 3. Verify that Windows didn't turn any of the audio devices down to 0 in Windows Sounds > Properties for the individual inputs. Let us know!

GoXLR has stereo outs and USB audio devices, any audio you would use with GOXLR in conjunction with your 5.1 speakers would only come out of the front 2 speakers and subwoofer. All in all, GoXLR is advertised as having stereo outputs and it's probably not the best solution for someone wanting to utilize a true 5.1 system. That being said, if you plug a 3.5mm cable from the headphone jack of GoXLR into the Line In on your computer, and then use "Listen to this device in Windows" that's the closest to real-time functional as you will get with a 5.1 system and GoXLR.

It looks like we have been troubleshooting with you in our Discord and have found some sort of bottleneck to exist on your machine as the stuttering seems to directly correlate to running certain programs. Your best bet will be to continue to pursue support through there for the time being.

To be clear, you cannot use both the XLR and 3.5mm microphone inputs simultaneously. The DSP only has room for 1 signal path.

Hey there! While I can't speak to the quality of the mic specifically, I discussed it with the team and we think a 1/4" to XLR adapter would be better than 1/4" to 1/8" adapter. However, both should work.
