I would suggest you to install the driver for Behringer you can find the driver in Benringer website search for UM2 then install, it will ask you to install the driver on the USB port then plug in you UM2 when installation ask for the plugin, then remove it then restart you computer then select the Benringer Audio device in the hardware preferences then you can record the both at the same time.

I need a help on this actually i am trying to connect my behringer UM2 with adobe audition, hardware preferences are MME not ASIO, it is being connected but the problem is only vocals is being recorded not the guitar voice from second INST jack of the device. i have tried ASIO4all also but there is soo much noise when i record the both. will this driver help in MME or this is for ASIO ??

I have the same issue but i am using Adobe Audition CC, not able to record the guitar the dedicated instrument jack. Please Help. I have tried to do the channel mapping and checked the audio preferences.
