Hey fellow DJs! Let me give you a brief summary of what I want to achieve and my current setup. I use a Pioneer DDJ-SR2 controller, hooked up to a Focusrite Scarlett Solo. Then the Solo is connected to my sound system. This controller has a dedicated Mic input (unbalanced) in the back. I want to do some MCing, so, I got a Behringer https://ukdistance.com XM8500 mic and an XLR to 3/4 cable so I can connect the mic directly to the controller. This gets the job done and I can use the mic, however the sound of my voice over the speakers Is very low, even when the mic volume is set to the max in the controller. This is not my main issue though, I would like to add FX to the mic channel (Reverb, delay, etc.), but this controller doesn't support that. I can't route any of the Serato fx to the mic either. This got me thinking and I can't figure a way to get a dedicated channel for the Mic using this hardware. Do you guys have any hw recommendations, or any workarounds to achieve this? Thanks in advance!
