I am having a few issues with my G System and really need some help here. I am just not having a luck with integrating this with my amp. I am using a Boogie Mark V Head and HAVE READ AND PRACTICALLY MEMORIZED the Laird Williams White Paper. I am afraid that the G System and Mesa Effects loop are just not happy. I am using the 4 cable method and set as explained by Mr Williams. The white paper is awesome and I thank him for doing it. However, after hooking up - with the balanced cables and eb tech hum eliminator I still have the smallest amount of buzz, that is only amplified with I use compression and change to distortion. It is not a 60 cycle hum, but more of a static zapping buzz, my apologies for not having better terminology. This noise seems to disappear when the g system is out of the rack and the metal of the g system touches the the metal strip on the top of the BOOGIE HEAD. Which would mean that I have some sort of grounding issue that I cannot seem to make disappear. I also notice that the g system is sucking tone and headroom out of the Mark V. When I plug straight in to Mark V there is more punch, more depth and more headroom. Again, I play with the the g system set up and to no avail. I am doomed? Defeated??? Anyone have any input. Please and thank you.
