Is it possible to have XLR outputs 1-12 on the DL32 routed from the M32R for 12 analog monitor mixes and AES outputs 13-14 on the back of the DL32 from the FOH console M/C and AES outputs 15-16 on the back of the DL32 from the FOH console L/R mains.
My current setup is a M32 with a DL32 for FOH and montors with 12 analog montor mixes and AES 13/14 for M/C and AES 15/16 for L/R Mains. If this will work, i may purchase a M32C to replace the M32R as my monitor console.
I would suggest you keep the M32R for the monitors for the main reason that it isn't easy to split a bank of 8 to the DL16. But you can split the XLR's on the back of a console (Routing, XLR Out screen are in banks of 4). Therefore you could route the Main L/R and subs from FOH to the back of the M32R and route the monitor outputs to the DL16.
In order to split the bank of 8 to the DL16, you first have to bring the FOH outputs into the M32R (eg. using the Aux In Remap), then blend that with M32R outputs (eg. 9-12) on the Routing, Out 1-16 screen in order to make up the bank of 8 to assign to the AES50 output to the DL16. As you can see the other way (explained above) is much easier.
Craig, Thanks for the great information I'm going to re-configure my Midas console before this weekend's festival. I'm running 5 stages and have a mix of Midas, Soundcraft, Allen & Heath and mackie consoles. The A&H is the only analog console with old school rack of eq's and efx. My plan is to migrate to more Midas consoles and begin selling off the others.
