If they cost the same, buy a Play Acoustic. "the compressor inside the g-xt is to less for my taste" While the Tone feature works for the most part, different voices and microphones react differently with the unit. There are instances where things are better if you leave the Tone button off. It works best in a dense mix. With fewer and quieter instruments, you can leave it off and set the EQ manually for a more natural, fuller sound.

If you are fond of the VLT2, use its jack outputs and connect them to a stereo DI box so you have 2 XLR outputs.

There are three kinds of TC-Helicon devices: 1. Hardwired to a scale based on A = 440Hz. 2. It is also possible to set a frequency other than 440 Hz, but after switching off the device it will return to 440 Hz. 3.
