Select the 17/18 channel. Open the Channel tab. Is the "LR" in an orange box beside the "Main Stereo" below the "Main Out" on the right side? If not click the "LR". David

If someone is my friend, I TALK to them. If I won't take the time the TALK to them, then they are not my friend. Email / text are for relaying information only. (FYI - Facebook employs teams of "addiction engineers".)

If I understand correctly, the problem you are trying to solve is when the minister is more aggressive in the presentation, correct? Compression can for sure cause feedback when make-up gain is used during soft passages. Sounds like no, or minimal, make-up gain is needed to accomplish what you need. And yes notch the 2K. Depending on the construction of the podium (and if it is NOT acrylic / clear) you could stuff unused "cubby holes" with sound absorbing material. Even make a thinner (1") platen out of OC703 or 705 (harder) or similar Knauf, etc board, to help with podium top reflections . Properly wrapped, of course. It might not be practical, but it is a possible solution.

Wow! I feel smart. That was one of the first things I noticed (lucky I guess), but I sure struggled with other areas that were probably simple for you guys. ;)

Do you have the Autosave option enabled in Setup -> App -> GENERAL? If so, when started it should reload the last layout that you loaded - regardless of what you called it. (2) Mute Groups only work when connected to a mixer. (3) I don't think there is any way to create a Fine button on its own but you can set Fine Fader mode on in Setup -> App -> CHANNEL STRIP and it will stick. Generally the app settings are not available as custom actions. thanks 1 - I downloaded the app yesterday, so it should be the latest.. Auto save is not on. I thought that meant it would save on it's on periodically. I will turn that on. 2 - I did connect and it made no difference. 3 - I only want Fine on demand. I may hide the others behind other stuff.

I watched the recently posted custom set-up on youtube and the referenced videos in the description. Re-watched and followed along as I set up duplicate layouts and layers. 3 questions: 1 - I thought a saw that the "default" file was the one that auto-loaded when opened. The layout system had a canned file named "reconnect001", not "default". I created a "test" file and saved the layout and layers. Each time I opened the app I had to manually open the "test" file to get the layout I wanted. I tried saving over the "reconnect001", same result. Do I HAVE to name the file "default"? 2 - I set up 3 Mute group buttons. Assigned them to groups 1,2,3 accordingly. Selecting random channels to be muted, but the buttons do not mute the assigned channels. The buttons light up, but don't do anything else. The channels can be muted on their strips, however. 3 - I would like a "Fine" button without the others in that strip. Is that possible? Thanks

You have to know the address that the Airport Express has assigned to the MR to be able to tell the app where to look. You are right. It throws an error. But I did find this out. As long as the 1st 3 numbers in the series are correct the last can be essentially anything. For example, the app had 10.0.1.1 in the address box. A search found the mixer at 10.0.1.4. Still is weird that the address field in the app showed 192.168.1.1 that time. thanks again

Thanks. Sorry. Should have mentioned that I connect thru an Airport Express and switch. WiFi only (5ghz). I don't recall ever "storing" anything with the app. Always thru a wired laptop using Edit. Never NOT been able to connect with the tablet before (after initial trials). The Apple or switch assigns the addresses (10.0.1.xx). The MR18 didn't default to 192.168.1.1, the app did. Or rather that is where it was looking for the MR, until I changed where it should look. If it happens again and I don't know where the MR is assign, can I just enter 10., or 10.0., or 10.0.1.? And it discover from there?
