I recently purchased a UMC202HD primarily for ripping my vinyl and cassette recordings. It's connected to a Dell T5500 workstation with two Xeon E5502 dual core processors at 1.87 GHz and 12 GB RAM running Windows 10 Pro with Creators update installed. I'm using the Behringer 3.29 drivers. I am running two different DAWs: Goldwave 6.24 and Magix Audio & Music Lab 18.104.22.168. I have similar problems with both DAWs. From time to time with for no apparent reason the DAWs will simply lock up and refuse to play or record. This may take a few minutes or a couple hours and is not repeatable. Exiting (or sometimes killing) the programs leaves any kind of playback of even system sounds non-functional until I disable and re-enable the "BEHRINGER UMC202HD 192k" speakers. Everything is then OK for a while. I also have some other problems with the Magix software that I suspect are related to the drivers that are very reproduceable, but I suspect there are problems with Magix as well and haven't yet sorted it out. I've used Goldwave for years with an Audigy 2 Platinum internal card without any similar problems. I'm new to the Magix software. I noticed that the Behringer drivers were produced by Thesycon in 2015 and are pretty old considering the changes to Windows 10. Current Thesycon drivers for USB Audio 2.0 drivers are version 4.13. Also, the Windows 10 Creator's update includes generic USB Audio 2.0 drivers that I could not get to work with the UMC202HD. I also could not get the ASIO4ALL driver to work, but I think that may be because I can't figure how to install it properly. I really like the improved quality of the UMC202HD ADC over my Audigy, but I need reliable drivers. Are there plans to update the Behringer drivers? Is it possible to get the device working with the Windows 10 generic driver? Is it possible to get the ASIO4ALL driver working under Windows 10 with the Creators update? Thanks in advance for any help.
