Sorry for taking so long to antswer this... I've taken all suggestions conceirning routings and put them to use but my problem did not solve. At a last attempt I bought some new cables (jack to XLR) just to be sure my homemade cables (made with examples from internet) could not be a part of the problem. Well, they were not part of the problem, they were the problem! Using the new cables solved my problem. All controles reacted as might be expected. Most lightly the homemade cables shorted the earth and signal wires thus leaking signal from one channel to another. Mind you, the signal I am getting now is significant louder than before. Nevertheless thanks for the suggestions, they made me look much deeper in the matter and possibilities of the XR18!
I've recently bought the XR18 but seem to have problems with the aux channels. Using them for personal monitoring, as in 1+2, 3+4 and 5+6 as stereo pairs, I've found that adjustig the signal on either of them, effects all of them. It's not visible on the mixer, just audible. My last guess would be using the usb connection to send in 18 channels (learning to get around the XR18) could mess things up. I've included the scene I'm working with I'm open to any suggestions T.I.A, Richard
