For anybody else needing to dim the their LCD, here is an $8, perfect solution: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006R0VWSG It sticks to the screen very tightly using only static cling. Goes on and comes off instantly. You can still read the screen clearly under normal room lighting, but it won't burn your retinas in the dark - even in a pitch black environment.
I've been trying to decide between a VL3 and VL Touch 2. Use case is purely for vocal processing / looping. I read through the entirety of both manuals. I was leaning towards the VL3 until I saw the MIDI implementation chart. Are there really no Block Edit / Looper CCs? I looked through the previous VL2 manual and saw that it at least had FX Level and Style Select CCs. The VL3 downgraded the MIDI functionality? Alternatively, the VL Touch 2 lacks deep FX Block Edit parameters, and the Tone controls are forcibly-automatic. Despite this, it does have Block Edit / Looper CCs. So the choice appears to be: VL3: Deep editing | static parameters | shallow MIDI implementation VLT2: Shallow editing | dynamic parameters | deep MIDI implementation As a latch ditch, seeing as the VL3 Extreme supports FX Automation, I read through its manual. Same static parameters and shallow MIDI implementation. Am I missing something?
